DarnEFNET,

I would simply remove the tail gate and store it on the folded down back seat of your SCrew. You might be upset when you find chip marks on your tail gate if you drive with it down....

Just a thought...

Regards,
SCrewBall

With air intake and performance exhaust, still hanging in there with 14-15 mpg, with aprox 50/50 city hwy, 5.4 v8, 4x4.

Also talked to a friend that has a Nissan Pathfinder, 6 cyl, 2wd and he said he gets 16 - 20 city hwy, but more on the 16 side. Makes me feel a little better.

Cool

First tank I checked was at 1200 miles. All highway at 70 mph resulted in 21.1 mpg. Now before everyone cries foul this is for a Canadian gallon which is 1/5 larger.
Converted to US would be 17 MPG. Still room for improvement!

Thumbs up

I have had my SCrew 4x4 with a 5.4 for three weeks and have about 2500 miles on it. Most is highway miles driving 65 to 70. Mileage for highway trips is running between 19 and 20 mpg, with another tank of 60/40 highway and city that ran 17.86 mpg.

I do drive pretty slowly and gently, but so far I am quite pleased. My last vehicle was a Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 that got around 22 or so, but always had to use Premium to keep the knocks out of the overworked V-6. I figure I am spending about the same for gas as I would for the Pathfinder using premium but with better mileage. Considering how much better the SCrew looks, runs, rides, and hauls, I think it is an excellent change.

Enjoy!

MikenTennessee - Nice truck! (mine's exactly the same) :-p

Does anyone who has done the intake mods feel that mileage (and torque) have gone down?

Here's an update I didn't really care for!!

Now I have 2750 miles on it, ... 98% city driving (No I don't drive very far as you can see from my post about 3 weeks ago!)

MPG now down to 14.2579 4x2 5.4L

I'm due to take a trip this weekend, we'll see if it picks up any!

Vesjas,
Gas is no longer sold by the Imperial gallon in Canada(probably been that way for 20 years but I still relate to the old measurement) but by the liter. Current price is .72/liter or $3.27/gallon. US price equivalent would be $2.61/gallon. Why do you complain when having to pay $1.68???

No more Priceline Gas Warhouse, whats up with that? At least I was saving about 20 Cents per gallon for the HOG. Still averaging under 12.5 MPG (see prior post)no signifigant change.
