Dogs (what to do with them)
We are trying to figure out a way to keep our Screw looking nice (without dog hairs everywhere). We were thinking about some kind of cover for the back seat (when folded down). Does anybody have anything that will do this, has anybody looked into making something. Also looking for something to keep the dog from moving to the front seats.
Any advice would be appreciated!!!

I have a SuperCab and I use a fitted queen size sheet to cover the entire back seat. Keeps the dog hair off the fabric at least.

This is one reason I got the Advance cover like you did. I plan on flipping up the rear half of the cover and letting the dog have its own *house* under the front half. Even when cold I figure and old blanket back there will keep my (wife s) basett warm. I never want dog claws near the leather, or even the flipped down section.

We use an old fleece blanket on the folded down 1/3 of the back seat. We have a baby seat in the middle, and the wife sits on the other 1/3. At least until the ARE cap gets in. Then she (dog) will get the back with a dogbed. At least until it gets too cold, then it's back to the cab. The fleece blanket keeps the back of the folded down seat looking new, and the baby seat keeps her from moving around too much in the cab.

They make netting to go between the front and the back for the SUV's don't know about the Supercrew. For the seat I just throw a blanket over it(that way I can get a color match). Two German Shepards and I don't have any problem with them getting into the front, but they take after me. They don't like getting out of the Supercrew, just want to keep on going. It sure beat the explorer for traveling with the dogs.
Dutchy,
I'm just waiting to pick my truck up so I can test out the barrier I have in my shed that I had on hand from my Bronco days. It's fully adjustable so it should fit like a glove with a few minor turns of a screw here and a screw there. Hopefully with the seat fully down, there will be just enough room for the barrier to stand up perfectly straight between the front and back seats.
I have an old twin comforter to put over the back seat when down mainly to keep the hair and occasional "ralphing" in check. My dogs aren't really truck dogs anyway hence the ralphing(carsick) comment.

Dutchy,
Got the cover last week and finished the installation Friday evening. Had to borrow a pop rivet gun for the center hinge attachment, but other than that, the installation went pretty well. Think the instructions can be improved upon, though.
The cover serves exactly the purpose I wanted . The sealing is better than I expected, but the locks are not the *slam latches* that advance has noted on their web site. Wish a key was not always needed to open/close the lids. Overall, very well built, functional, and low key in styling. I did not want a painted tonneau that would need waxing and worry about scratches. Plus hard tonneau would not work with the dog, at least I dont think I could lock her in there in the dark
Oh, and considered a roll top, but did not like the added expense and loss of bed space with the canister and drain tubes to be drilled in the bed.

That was the same reasons that we used to confince ourselfs on this cover. I did not like the locks either, but other than that I really like the cover. I also like the fact that a can of black paint can cover-up any scratches that might occur. The only thing I'm planning on adding (maybe) is some sort of pole system to keep the lid up a little when needed (kinda like a hood). Anyway glad to hear that you like it, since I only seen mine for a week, we will pick up our truck from the ocean transport next week Tuesday (I hope).

Thanx guys, that helps, my wife wants to go with cpafay's idea. We will see if her dog house fits back there.
cpafay, how do you like your advance cover? Did you put it on yourself?
