I believe that Leer has a Topper/Shell for the SC. I'm lucky enough to have a local dealer who has over a dozen of the SuperCrews - and had one fully decked out with topper, bedliner, grill guard, etc. Now, I'm not a fan of the topper - but this one looked sharp!

I've had me SuperCrew for 11 days now. Here are some facts. I hauled mulch on day four. Put about 2000 scratches in the bed. Yesterday I had a Line-X bedliner sprayed in. It is very, very impressive. Good looking and this morning I hauled muclh again. Pitch fork could not mar the finish. With just a garden hose wash it looked like brand new. I am very impressed. It cost $359 and took 2 1/2 hours. Also I want to report that the "plastic" or composite outer bed material scratches very easy. It seems that it scratches deep very easy. You need to be careful.

F150BOB, if the Citrus Heights dealer your referring to is on Auburn Blvd, they quoted me $365 for a liner. The Rocklin dealer quoted me $325. He also knew what a supercrew was.. So far that's the lowest price.

Now if my truck would only arrive I'd be set.

Questions for those of you who have spray lined your supercrews.

1) What is the horizontal panel on the inside surface of the tailgate. As it is held in by a series of screws does it need to be removeable. Can it be removed if the bed has been spray lined?

2) Did you leave the bed bolts on the floor of the truck bed uncovered?

3) What are the two vertical oval plastic (?rubber) fittings on the lower corners of the front wall of the bed. Do they need to remain uncovered.

4) How many of you matched the bed rail color and how successful was the match?

Thanks in advance

Question

One more question to piggy back on that one...

What colors does the Line-x come in?

Partial to the spray in and snug lid myself...but I don't drive a work horse I drive a show pony/track horse. My grandaddy however has a new F350 he has a drop-in in. Pull it out, clean it up and you can drop anything in the bed of his truck and not hurt it.

Cool

Docker,
I went with Line-X.
1) Line-x unscrews the panel, and screws it back when finished. You can still access the panel when the liner is dry.
2) I don't know if they removed, or taped the bed bolts. I'm leaning towards removed. They were not sprayed though.
3) The covers on the front of the bed (correct me someone if I'm wrong) are for accessory access. Ie; speaker wires, camper lights, etc. Line-x actually sprayed over mine. I wasn't too happy about that one. If you don't want them covered, make sure you tell them.
4) I went with black. I know, in time they will fade to a gray color anyway.
bonus ?) I know most spray in liners, have a variety of colors. The colors I have heard to stay away from(again correct me someone if I'm wrong) are Yellow, Red and white. Due to fading.
After my first and second washings, I noticed over spray on my truck. I was able to srape them off with a finger nail. Nothing too bad, but too much for a truck I just waited four months for! This may be a thing at my Line-x dealer only, But something to mention if you go with the spray on.
Hope this helps.

I emailed my local Line-X dealer (El Cajon, CA)for a couple questions.(I dont think he has seen a Supercrew in his shop yet.) His response.....

? What colors does the spray in liner come in?

Usually black, although we DO occasionally spray any dark color, as light
colors tend to yellow quite bad over time. Colors cost $150 extra.

? How much would it cost to spray a 2001 Ford 150 Supercrew?

Shortbed is $379, long bed is $409.

Stop by our office and check it out. We're on Bradley, just west of
Magnolia. We have a large hot-air balloon above our buisiness.

<I have not checked his shop out yet>

I'm leaning towards Line-X myself, however, to answer some of the questions posed...here's a neat article on how spray in liners are done.

After having 3 trucks with drop in bedliners, I just had Line-X spray in a bedliner in my SuperCrew. Looks Great!
A very custom look. $300 dealer cost.

Thumbs up

SurfinCowboy,
I have been to that Line-X dealer in El Cajon off Bradly ave. Shop was clean and organized. The owner (forgot his name) was very pleasent to talk to and answered all my questions. Needless to say, I still don't have a liner in my truck. Probably going to do the self install Hurcliner.
