***New Arrival***
I cheated! Picked up my new SuperCrew tonight. Still no build date as of yesterday (orderd 2/29) so I asked the dealer about checking on a dealer locate for a truck like my order. Turned out he had almost what I ordered on his lot, only this one had a moon roof and no skid plates.
After checking it out I liked the moon roof after all, and the skid plates could be added at his cost, along with the moon roof.($688.) I went with the Ford Finance, they were offering 7.9% on a 60 month loan, the best I could find from my bank and credit union was 8.4%. I ended up paying $500. over dealer cost (confirmed dealer cost online) so I'm happy about that.
Drove home tonight from the dealer in the Napa Valley in the rain....wipers work just fine. Sat in the garage and read my owners manuel and played with all the new toys! No work tomorrow so I can play with the new truck while the wifes at work and the kids are at school!!!

I, too, picked up my SCrew yesterday; ordered it on 2/9, build date was 3/23, and it arrived at the dealer on 4/9. I love the truck; like a few others have indicated, I didn't buy it for the "head-turns", but it was quite a kick watching some of the reactions on the way home! I ordered the Deep Wedgewood Blue- in bright sunlight, it almost appears to be purple; in normal light, somewhere between blue and black.
Performance with that 5.4l engine was awesome- easy to lose track of how fast I was actually going. The ride is great- I drove my '92 F150 into the office today (not enough ceiling clearance in the parking structure for the new beast-- they're finding a new spot for me!)- almost felt like I was sitting on the ground by comparison!
Negatives thus far: Like someone else reported, there's some wind noise with the moonroof open (another sweet option I HIGHLY recommend!)at 50mph; also, I ordered the captains chairs, and the armrests are at an awkward height, so I found myself using the center console instead. Cosmetically, mine was delivered with a paint defect on the leading edge of the front driver's side door-- there was a spot where the paint either didn't cover or where the door had been rubbed against something during installation, so they'll have to do a bit of touch-up work.
Beyond that, I'm really pleased with the vehicle thus far.... to those who haven't taken delivery yet, as agonizing as the wait is, it's well worth it!
Now, I need to decide on add-ons. I stopped at an aftermarket place on the way home- I've read with interest the spray-in vs. insert liner discussion; my existing truck has a Pendaliner which I've been very pleased with. The aftermarket guy was recommending a Penda again.... I also really appreciated the post of the cap picture on a different thread-- my dealer was recommending a Vulcan cap.... so, I need to do a bit more research.

sonoma,
you and i were up to the same no good yesterday, however, i wasn't so lucky. i couldn't carry over my current approved financing (Chrysler Financial) with the Ford dealership, and they could not match the financing.
how is it i'm financing through Chrysler Financial? i guess it's a military deal. before i could order they had to approve financing. the agent submits your information to ford, chevy, chrysler and they go with the best rate. was originally 8.9% but had it lowered to 6.75% by putting another 2,000 down.
would have liked to be sitting in a Crew yesterday, but, i've waited this long and can wait a few more weeks if necessary to maintain financial interests.
good on ya. post some pics.

Congratulations Sonoma !!!
I think you made a great decision getting the one with the moonroof. Now you don't have to wait anymore. I love my moonroof.

Good move Sonoma. I wish I could do that, but the nearest truck like my order is out with USAF-K9 in California. So, I wait!

Congrats on the new truck. I checked VOPC tonight and got a 4/24 build date. I ordered 3/18. Changed to 5.4L on 3/20. Sounds fairly promising, but I'm about to go crazy.
Thanks to all who contribute to this forum. I think it is great. Never would have known about VOPC, much less how to use it without this forums help.

dgp - Glad to hear your build date, as mine was ordered on 3/22. Hopefully, MY build date will be available soon (4/28 maybe?). As of today, still "Clean and Unscheduled" per VOPC - what ever that means.
I don't know if I can wait 11-15 weeks like some!

Sonoma, I'm jealous! I have to wait three more weeks. By the way, thanks for the pics; they finally made it last weekend.
However, VOPC says my truck was built on the 11th. It's actually built!!!! I'm tempted to go to Kansas City right now. However, I know I must go through the formal adoption process through my dealer and pay all the adoption and legal fees.

JScharton:
"Clean and unscheduled" means what you probably surmised; you truck has not yet been scheduled for production. I'm the lucky one who got to wait 15 weeks after placing my order. My truck has been built and I am still waiting. Yes, it is difficult.
If my experience is any indication (others are likely similar), when your truck is scheduled, the production date will be about 3 weeks out and you can expect another 3 weeks after that for delivery. The shortest time for order to delivery of which I am aware was a little less than 5 weeks. If you ordered a popular color like White or Red, you'll likely see it sooner rather than later. I had the misfortune of ordering a two-tone (delayed for a few weeks) and Green which they don't seem to produce as often.
What's the priority code on your DORA? If it's 10 and you ordered a popular color, you should not have to wait long

LRM -
Thanks for the reply. My DORA priority is actually listed as a 9 - so I hope that I won't have to wait TOO long.
As far as color - the Toreador Red. At first, I was sold on the deep wedgewood blue (the medium ww blue not being available). However, after seeing that in the sunlight, I decided against a Purple truck. The medium/dark red looks VERY classy.
My dealer has over a dozen SC's with almost constand turnover. I need to grab a digital camera and snap some shots for the group - I think I can hit every color!
Hopefully, my combo with the 5.4L, Moonroof, 6-CD, 4x4 won't cause major delays. At least I didn't spring for the 2-tone paint!
