kbb, nada, and edmunds dont take into account how ****ty our economy is right now. Everyday people are buying new ford trucks for 21k. I live in southern california where our sales tax is now up to 8.25% and is one of the highest areas to live in the country. That truck you were showing off (the 07 cream colored lariat) with 20k would go for 18-19k here without a doubt. Dealers are in so much trouble right now and there are still people out there that dont know prices on cars. I will guarentee you that truck will go for 18-19k. no more. I just bought an 03 with only 45k miles and has about 6k in upgrades and is as clean as new and i paid 9k. Just giving you some input and a comparison. good luck. also, check craigslist like someone said. you will see how low prices are. and remember...those are just asking prices. you will be able to haggle private parties down more than dealers because the dealers need to make a certain mark up from what they bought it from. good luck!

I guess it depend on our outlook on miles. I think high miles on a vehicle, which is less than three years old, is OK because you may have to run on the freeway more to get that many miles in. This truck was traveling about 30k a year.

Which is harder on a vehicle, 25 mph through town, 50 mph in the country, or 75 mph on the freeway? Technically 75 on the freeway will ring up miles faster, with less wear, while 25 in town rings up less miles with more wear and tear from breaking, accelerating, and cornering.

For 50k miles the price is dropped 5k to 8k. Just my opinion. From looking at the pictures the seats will need a good leather conditioning and the box needs a liner to cover up the scratches.

Evidently the truck in question has sold. It is gone from their site so I suppose someone that wanted to pay more than I bought it. Hope they are happy.

The search goes on.

Keep looking. You are better off getting something in your range. Especially with todays economy, what happens if you suddenly cant afford the extra you spend on that 26k truck.

UPDATE

I found a 2006
F150 Super Cab 4X4, 5.7L, auto, leather, power. 27K miles. White with dark gray leather for $17,900. NO its not a Screw BUT I have to buy what I can afford. It has most of what I really wanted. I can live with out 4 doors.

According to edmonds, nada, kbb it is priced right. CarFax checks out perfect. Gonna try this one.

Screw should be $2500 more than equivalent Scab. Scab has 4 doors, but don't plan on putting adults back there or child seats for kids.

Yeah...5.4L. I thought it was a good price considering Edmonds & NADA were showing high $19K in my region. Bottom line is he was ready to sell and I was ready to buy. Its clean, well took care of and sharp. Still can't figure how to post pics.
