automatic light sensor

Is it possible to adjust the sensor that turns the headlights on and off automatically? I would like my headlights to come on sooner. At dusk, instead of after it gets completely dark.

I'm pretty sure that is not an adjustable feature. You could try applying tint of various shades to the sensor. Just a thought.

yeah, it wouldn't bother me if they stayed on all the time. So, I thought about just wrapping it in electrical tape.

On top of the dash on the left side. It has a blinking red light in it.

Just try laying a towel over the blinking light and see if your lights come on. I know on mine if I put my sun shade in on a bright day start the car the lights will come on.

yeah, I tried puting my hand over it on the way home from work yesterday, and it did it. NOW the question is, how do I get that black cover off of that section of the dash so I can do something to cover up that eye, without covering up the red light? The part of the dash that has the window defrost vent holes in it.

Really that works and you can still see the blinking light. Does the Sharpie make your lights come on all the time or just a little sooner?

Just a little sooner - you just want to 'tint' the front & top portion of that 'tumor'; the led is at the back. It will not become opaque. Comes off with an alcohol swab later if you want to reverse it.

yeah, but I like being able to see the red light blinking from any position outside of the truck. If I sharpie it, it will make the red light hard to see from the front of the truck, won't it?
