back passanger windows

ok i have an 03 model supercrew and i want to get the back passanger side windows to go down all the way, not leave like 4in of window up. i want it to look like the new screws that all windows go down all the way. it looks very nice and clean. i know that there is enough room in that door to hold the whole window, just wanted to know if anybody has done it or heard about it

thanks

Despite probably 750k 01-03 Supercrews sold, not one onf them has rear windows that go down all the way. Yes, there is room, but blame the Expidition that uses the same hardware inside the door. It has shorter window tracks that carried over into the Supercrew. Everyone that has investigated it thoroughly decided it was not worth the effort or cost.

so basicly there is nothing i could do about it that would make them go down all the way without costing me a fortune and a lot of fabricating

Correct. You would need to build your own track and rebuild the lowering mechanism for the additional range. The Expedition rear doors are shaped around the rear wheel and that is why the windows do not go down. Ford used Expy parts in the Supercrew.

yah. I think it would be cooler to have the rear cab glass slide down like the tundras, but both that and the rear doors, would take some custom fabbing to get it to work.

Just do like i do for now, just lower the fronts down to where they are even with the backs. Looks good, and looks like you just didnt want to put all the windows all the way down. Kinda fools people into thinking they do go all the way down.
