Helper Spring on 01 screw

Does anyone know if a helper spring can be installed on a 2001 Screw? Or if an add-a-leaf can be installed? I have searched this database but couldn't find anything. I have also done a google search, but it appears that the add-a-leaf is not offered on that year.

I don't want to lift my truck or to lower it. What I want is to beef up the existing springs to tow my trailer and carry all my gear in the box of the truck. Last summer it bottomed out on me for the first time.

Does anyone know how long the OEM springs last? I have just over 67k on the truck.

Thanks

Sydscrew,
I added some helper air bags inside the coil springs on my 95 Impala SS. I pulled a trailer w/ 4 race tires & wheels, large floor jack, & had the trunk loaded w/ toolbox and other race day accessories. I ran the SS in Autocross. I could air the bags up for the road & deflate them for the races, then air them back up for the trip home. They worked really well & I would put them on anything else if I needed to level a vehicle. I can't remember the brand, maybe Airlift. They make kits for leaf & coil springs. They were popular w/ the Caprice & Impala guys that had large stereo systems in the trunks to level the cars. I hope ths helps.

I got the same rig and the same problem . The springs belong on a car not a truck .
I put a set of timbren rubber springs on this year . I'm very happy with them ( truckspring.com) .

I installed Air Lift helper airbags. I haul a water tank in the back of my truck once a month, I needed the added spring rate for this but did not want to have a rough ride the rest of the time. The air bags have worked very well, the ride height can be adjusted for the load or for an empty truck. When I am going to use the tank I raise the pressure to 40# I haul 250 gallon of water so we are talking 2000# and the truck sits as level as with no load. Installation was about 2 hours. I purchased them through Summit racing and couldn't be happier with them.
