Can you put an ATV in the bed of an 1st gen screw?

New to the forum. Can you put a 4wheeler/atv in the bed of a 2000-2003 Super Crew? If so, how big? Tailgate up or down? Do you have any pics as examples?

Thanks - Greg

Here is my YFZ in the back of my 03 Screw. The 4-wheeler is wider than most utility type atv's, so I would think they should fit a little easier. As far as shutting the gate...not happening. I cant get my CR250 bike in it either with out leaving the gate down. Just a small price to pay for a Screw!

I have a Yamaha Banshee and it fits . . . with the tailgate down of course. It's a tight squeeze, but it works.

My 300EX fits w/ gate up, but my 400EX requires gate down. I believe all quads are <48" wide so they will fit between the tailgate and wheel wells. It's just a matter of the length.

more than one ATV?

I fit three bikes no problem. Even got the bed extender to pop on. Has anyone put more than one 4 wheeler back there? I'm thinking about getting quads for the wife and kids (I told her a YFZ450 would be perfect for her)

Just get a cheap landscape trailer. Much easiler to load/uload. 2 quads in the bed of any pickup is difficult, let alone a 5.5' long one.

I would but I'm pulling a 27' TT. Just wondering how much I could fit in the bed....maybe a 450 and a Junior 80? Then throw my 05 DRZ400 on a rack on the trailor? I dunno, but I appreciate all the help

I am real close to getting a screw....and I too am a little worried about getting my Grizzly 660 in the back...

Anyone able to get one of those in the back?

The Screw I'm looking at is an 01 with 103k miles on it...

I've got an Rincon and it barely fits and I 've hauled my father n laws grizzly in the back of mine. I had a Tire laying up against the bed to help keep from breaking my back glass and still had several inches to spare but mine is an 04 but there's no differance in length in the bed but maybe a couple inches on the tailgate. Later

Supercrude, sell your TT and buy a toy hauler. Then, you'd need a Superduty too!

Exactly! What a predicament....I want a hauler so bad, but would definately have to step up to a bigger truck
