Talking

My mileage is tops - just under 20 on the highway and 16 in town. There are so many radar traps on Colorado highways that it is not worth it ("to me") to speed. Thus I put my truck into cruise and let her go. My truck is used primarily for hunting, fishing, and camping, thus, the in-town driving is minimal. Also, the Bridgestone Dueller Revo's seemed to help the mileage a teense.

My last F-250 HD 4X4 with a 460 V-8 got 11 mph and I was satisfied with it. Trucks generally don't get good mileage - if mileage is an issue get a Ford Focus. If gas was $4. a gallon and my mileage was 10 mpg I would still not trade my truck.

Good luck on your decision. Semper Fi

Last week I went too Lackland AFB and back, approximately 2,500 miles round trip, and averaged 17.4 mpg. Most of the time, I was driving between 75mph and 85mph.

There have been responses from the people that have 5.4L engines, but what kind of mileage are people getting with the 4.6?
