Bazooka sub under '01 rear seat?
Bazooka sub under '01 rear seat?
I'm the PROUD new owner of a mint '01 Supercrew (with only 17Kmiles on it!!
), and now wondering about a sub to upgrade the sound.
I've searched all the threads about custom boxes behind the seats, under the seats, but I still need the ability to fold down the rear seats occasionally.
I was wondering if the powered Bazooka sub (8"?) would fit under the 60% portion of the 60/40 rear seat? I thought I read somewhere where someone mentioned that it did fit, and that it can be removed fairly easily/quickly.
Any input would be appreciated!!

I heard that you can fit the 8" under it by lifting the seat slightly forward and
then sliding the Bazooka under the seat and then carefully lock the seat back in place. I was told the woofer will slightly stick out from under the seat. I have a 6" bazooka under mine. Works great for my tastes but I am sure there are others that require more than a 6" bazooka for their systems.

There is a place here in kc called independece audio, and they were showing me a box that is mass produced for supercrews. It fits right under the 60 part of the bench and you are still able to fold down the bench from what they said. It can fit 1 10" sub.
