only bad thing about the metal clips in my opinion is that they will end up marring the areas where they attach to the light, especially if you use it alot. like me i like to keep my stuff looking new all the time, now matter how old it may be but like i said, that is just my opinion. i got the plastic ones and was real sceptical about them since there were plastic. but i guess with better plastics out now, they hold up real good. and they are black which blends right in with the mag light. comes with mounting screws and all. lates~

we buy the large style and them dip them in rubberized coating the type you use on tool handles, this keeps them from scratching the body of the light.
willie I had this a few posts up. We do take care in not scratchin our equipment as you do also. The plastidip or rubber coating we use comes in a multitude of colors we use it on almost any bare metal that is on our trucks. The pics I linked to our are from some of our biggest units that take the most punishment, I wanted to show how well the coating holds up in a work enviroment. You could use the black and coat the whole clip for cosmetics in a personal truck and come out with a very nice looking mount. This is just my opinion. It all goes on wether you want the Mag mount, personally in my truck I would go with the Mag Mount for the MagLight but hey thats just me.

Willie,
Negative sir on the keeping quiet Thats what makes this board so awesome is different opinions and views on things. If you and I kept quiet this place would just be.....well lets face it...boring.
LoL... I didn't mean to sound rude on my follow up post just pointing out the durability of the plastidip, it still doesn't replace a good quality manufactured mount like the ones you all have discussed. Basically the spring clips are a nice cheap alternative to the more expensive route. Also I saw your inquiry to the MF towels RP told ya about, they are totally awesome get ya some, you will luv em. I use the big plush ones from Premium and they roxor.
