Ekim,
There is definitely no "hype" about silblades. They are definitely worth the money. To date, they have been fine in snow and ice as I was driving in the snowstorms here in PA the past few weekends.
Mike,
Thanks for setting RP straight, cos I know that I turned him onto those Silblades!

Ya know, not that anything was bad at Hooter's but, I've had better lunch experiences there than today... I think they had the 'B' crew working lunch today. LOL!

I know silblade's website is somewhat pricey for the wipers but, I just noticed that www.truckininstyle.com is selling that line now as well and I'm sure that he'd give a better price...
Just FYI

If you don't find it there, if you have a very fine polish, that would most likely remove whatever is on the glass. Also, you might try a product called 'Barkeeper's Friend'. It's available near the glass cleaners in the cleaning section at Wally-Hell. I hear that stuff kicks butt... I have a can of it but have never used it (haven't needed it yet). It comes in a shaker type bottle similar to the old 'Ajax' bottles.

Based on my faith that you guys know what you are talking about I bought a set of Silblades for my truck, my wife's van, and my son's Ford. Just got them on today and its supposed to rain tomorrow so I'll get a chance to see how they work. My truck was only 4 months old and the blades were chattering on the upstroke already. The only problem I had putting them on was that two of the adapters didn't work right. I was able to get one to finally work but couldn't get the other one to work. That ones for the van rear window so I'll have to wait till I get a new adapter from Silblade to put it on. I didn't see anybody talk about this but I bought a bottle of the Silblade window treatment and put that on my truck today. They told me it's much better than Rainx and will last longer. It was easier to put on. No buffing. Just spray and wipe with a soft cloth.
