Frontend Protection - Options?
Yep Mike... you're generally correct...
I've almost come full circle on this issue now though... I'm almost at the point that I'm just going to say screw it and I'll have the hood repainted as it needs it. *shrugs*
What's a guy to do?

RP,
Gonna throw in my 2 cents here on a product that I've tried before... at least gives you yet another option.
I think it was Intel who first introduced me to the product..
Pro BugGuard - it's one of the ProWax products..
I think it was like 8 dollars a bottle...
sprays on the the areas that you want to protect, and it dries clear, and wahes right off.
The pros: easy on, dries clear (mostly);
washes off easily;
you can put protection anywhere you can reach with the liquid
The cons: it's a little painstaking to spray this stuff on after you wash (if you're like me at least every week);
the stuff is thick, and sticky (helps to grab the bugs) -but does dry clear;
I used a whole bottle in about 4 applications to the front end/mirrors;
even though it dries clear, you can still tell that something has dried on the front end (but it does wash completely off)
Just my 2 cents, if you're interested I'll dig up a website for the stuff.

Guys,
Other than the Invinca-Shield, and Griot's garage link, are there any other options for obtaining that clear stick on stuff?
I was thinking there was a way to get your hands on the 3M brand stuff.

Thanks for that option. I've heard of that stuff however I don't think it'll provide the necessary rock protection that I feel I'll need.
I keep meaning to pick up a bottle of that stuff though just to give it a whirl as Intel486 mentioned it a while back in the General Care forum.
As for the 3M stuff, check out this link... we talked about it a little in the Appearance Products forum.
