I happy with the looks of my L heads during the day, but the output does suck I would say. The relay for my fogs went out (I have th 9005 bulbs high beams) and I just had to drive the L heads and it was terrible I felt like I was driving with a flashlight.

The Xenarc bulb or the regular halogen bulb (used for high beams)?

I was thinking about getting some of these until I read the stuff about them being discontinued. I guess that if I got some and 3 years down the road one went out I could just reinstall my L headlights. Just that after that long with them I would probably want to buy a whole new set.

If you read near the end of the thread, the Sylvania guy said that they will still have replacement parts if the lights fail after 3 years. They just won't sell them to you unless you can prove that you own a set of xenarcs. Sylvania is one of the best companies out there when it comes to making the customer happy. I would not hesitate to buy a set.

Here we go, I will try to answer your questions and concerns. SYLVANIA will always stand by the product. If there is an issue, we will make it right. If we do not have any more parts within the three years of the warranty, then you will get your money back based on the nature of the issue. I can't say all issues will be refunded, it is really case by case. Regular wear and tear is expected. SYLVANIA is a leading seller of ballasts and lights to the OEMs, (Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota...). This means we will have bulbs and ballasts as replacement products. To buy these from us, you will need to prove you bought the product, i.e. the warranty card in the box that comes with the product. We will not just sell these items to anyone because people are using them illegally and we do not want to particpate in that market. The product is not discontinued because it is bad, it is discontinued because Ford now has the new F-150 with a new headlight and the assembly maker is making them and not the old version so we have no choice but to follow that. They make them for us for this kit off of the original shape with the redesigned reflector system. I can't speak for them but I can think they are making them on the same line so making the older version is not a reality any longer. I hope this helps with your concerns.

I think it is stupid of them to stop making them. Look how many companies are still making stuff for the early-mid 90s body style. Heck, there has even been new stuff that came out for them since the 97-03 body came out. Oh well. I still don't know if I'll get them. Would give me money for something else such as a hood or something else along those lines.
