...when you spend over a grand on a new exhaust system and intake kit only to gain 7 horsepower and improve only 1 mpg.

-sidenote: Almost all of these are me to a 't'... I really like the one about pulling off the side of the road to clean a bug 'splat' off of the vehicle.... btw, I'm the same with 'bird splats'.

Great topic...

So a 12 hour drive to Florida would take you 18 hours by stopping to get the bugs off???

...When you park next to a car in a parking lot and put a rubber door edge guard on their car.

...When it takes as long to "wipe & shine" your new Edelbrock shocks after each car wash as it does to detail the tires...

...When you use a 1/2 can of Armour All tire foam on the "insides" of your tires after every wash...

...When you only have a two mile drive to work but then have to walk an additional 1/2 mile to get inside just to have that IDEAL parking place...

OK, one more

...When you litterally HATE for anyone else to ride in your vehicle because they don't know how to close a #$%^#&% door without getting fingerprints all over it...

Hey Galaxy, here's one more for both of our lists.

...When you spend $200 to build your own remote oil filter setup because the $40 packaged ones just don't live up to your standards.

My little contribution...

- When you put a tarp down on TOP of your BedRug before you haul anything around because you don't want to get it dirty (i.e., picking up plants at nurseries, trips to Home Depot, etc.)!!!

- When you detail your truck but it starts raining for 4 days straight so you drive the wife's car so you can keep the truck in the garage.

no please! dont' give me any idea's

here's another one...

when you KNOW its supposed to rain tonight, but you wash the truck today anyway, and before you finish drying the truck, it starts to rain, but you keep drying the truck while its raining until you got to where you started, even though the whole truck is already covered in rain water
then you are so excited about a few mods, that you still put them on the truck, even though its pouring rain out...and you don't have a garage. LoL
then you finish the mods, and its still raining, but its not dark outside yet, so you decide to detail the engine compartment while by now you are completely drenched in rain. LoL

gee....those last 3 sound familiar......REALLY familiar...like 10 minutes ago familiar.

Harley#356 I know just what yoir talking about. I about croed when the better half wouldn't let me go out in the last t-storm to wipe the truck off after we had drove about 5 mile in the rain.

Do most people tell you, even when your truck is dirty it's still cleaner than almost anyone ele's. I was stilled pissed about all the salt that was still on my truck ans some guy ask's how I keep it so clean and if he didn't see me out in the snow with it, he would have thought it was garage kept.

Monday I plan to detail mine knowing it's going to rain here Tues and/or Wed. I have no idea why my paint is already chipped and craked and clear coat peeling.

Maybe we all should just get new paint jobs every year.

LMAO... it'd probably take me longer than that...

And another good one from KY Ford Freak...

I get that line all the time ... "Your vehicle is 10X cleaner than mine and you think that's dirty!?!?" LOL!!

Yesterday, I took off all four wheels to clean the back side of the tires, clean the insides of the wheels and clean the brake calipers...Didn't clean the fenderwells at this point because they were already spotless...

after taking my baby to the car wash, i noticed that 2 tires were a little bit shinier(sp) than the other two so i told the guy to add more armor all because those two tires might get jealous. true story.

when i wash it myself, i use my leaf blower to blow out the billet grill so it won't get water spots on the inside.
