bedrug on top of line-x?

had a line-x installed in my 02 screw a while back. love it. very durable. now i'm putting and ARE Z shell on and was thinking about a bed rug or something else a little "softer" for the inside. know it's kinda pricey to have both, but does anyone have any thoughts or other ideas. can you even do a bedrug over a line-x (seems possible to me) i know i can just put some foam, carpet etc. in, but was thinking i'd like to keep a clean look. thanks

I have been thinking abou doing the same thing in mine. I know it would cost a lot but Id love tohave both with a hard tonneau on top. So it sounds like a good idea to me.

Reminds me of an old joke...

In my everyday life I wear two condoms.

When my lady and I want to make whoppee, I take one off. It makes me feel like a WILDMAN!

The bed rug will go right over the line-x. It should be no problem unless the line-x was sprayed really thick. The bed rug attaches with really strong double sided tape and velcro. If the tape sticks to the liner then your set. If not then you may have to use an extra adheisive of some kind.

Here are some pics of my bed rug.

Thanks for the input, great pix, and joke! Actually spoke to someone at Wise and they said the same thing. No problem. Went ahead and ordered it from the same people who are doing my ARE Z series shell. They'll install them both at the same time with matching carpet headliner. Great deal. Can't wait. Thanks again

I am also thinking about installing a A.R.E Z series cap. Can you tell me what you are paying for the Z cap? I just want to know what a fair price for the cap would be. Thanks... By the way, I have the BedRug and I love it...

i was quoted prices from the high 1300's to low 1400's - i struck a deal including the flipdown window with rear slider, keyless entry, carpeted headliner, dome light and installation that came in under 1500. don't have the exact price handy - bedrug ended up being about 239 installed as well (cause i did them both together). normally about 60-90 bucks more.

My ARE Z-series has been on for two weeks. I paid 1390 out the door, including tax.

This is totally consistent with Stevieg3's pricing, although he got a much better deal on his Bed rug than I did on mine. I think that paid in the high 300's for my bedrug.

Bottom line: You have to consider the price of the optional features. Mine included a sliding window that's FOLDABLE for easy cleaning. Also got a dome light wired in and a Bed-Rug matching carpet-like interior. I have no keyless feature.

My dealer gave me the choice between a clamp in or drilled&bolted installation. I went with the clamps.
