Hard Tonneau

Does anyone have any comments or suggestions on a hard tonneau cover for a Screw?

I have an 03 and am looking into one, I just don't know what brand/type to get?

Also, what am I looking at price wise to purchase one?

TIA,

Jim

You also have this option, it's an ARE LSII...

I have a Leer 700 Series on my '01. It looks great and can be removed easily while leaving the frame
that holds it secure in place.

Guys,

Thanks for the comments. How do you all like your covers?

What is the difference in price?

Thanks again,

Jim

it's a little dark to take a pic now but I will send you one of my Leer 700 that wraps over the sides and follows the bed at the front. I love it. It was about $700 and worth every penny.

I even slept in there one night at the racetrack in October Wife calls it the "World's largest trunk".

******* X2000 is one of the best if not the best one out there. Their hinge system gives you access all around the bed. Fit and finish is perfect. Snuglid is another good option. Leer looks nice if you like the bulge but I have heard of quailty problems after some time. Do a search here and do your research. Good luck

Here's the SNUGLID

Snuglid is very similar to *******. It requires no drilling (damage) whatsoever, and also fits like a glove!

Here's the Leer 700 that wraps over the bedrails. Yes I know my trucks filthy. As soon as it warms up a little she'll get all the babying she needs.

How much for the Snuglid?

Kaliscrew2k2,

How much did you pay for your Snuglid. A local retailer in Houston, TX wanted $870 installed. That's outside my budget. Should I try to talk them down or it that a reasonable price already?

Jaguar,

The Undercover was $629 including install. From what i can see, it does everything the snuglid does, but only weighs 58 lbs. so it's an easy take off. It can also be painted easily.

Plus it has spring loaded covers for the locks.

I love mine, i thinks it's the best mod i've yet. And so much better than the soft oem one i had

ARE LSII was $749 I believe.

I love the look of it and the xtra height from some of the lower profile ones did allow me to get the BBQ in there without taking it off. It clamps in so no permanent modifications have to be made. I did have some issues with the paint. The only other stories I have heard of paint issues on it are from a couple people with same exact color lid.

f150_hdt,

I paid 800 bucks out the door (this included installation). Oh yeah, don't forget to use the coupon for a $20 dollar rebate. Go to this site, register, and print out the rebate coupon. Snug top products are known to be expensive, perhaps you can ask them if $870 is the last price? I purchased mine from "American Camper Shells" out here in Los Angeles, CA.

Here is the Snugtop link for registration for rebate:

good luck
