Dude that sucks...
But I hear ya..
I Just dropped a fricken valve in my motor.. Damn valve spring broke, probably due to a sticking lash adjuster.. Drove great right up until the moment she didn't.. Just passed 195k miles when she gave up to ghost. It was good run while it lasted, but I never knew the 04 5.4 3v valve springs were the only model year prone to just breaking in half..

Needless to say I need an engine, and I'm never selling this truck. So hit me up, let me know if your gonna bow out of this short block and let me know how far you got through with build..
I'm seriously considering going with a reman engine just to get this issue put to bed before winter.. The whipple is going back on whatever engine lands between my frame rails..

Sorry to hear that. Sent you a PM. I'm willing to sale all. Hate to do it. A part of me still wants to do this but I also want to pursue other interests and I'd like to do so while my Dad is young and able as well.

Well getting rid of the truck did not come to be. So for now build is back on. Crossed the 100,000 mile mark. Freshened up the front end with some Harley headlights I got for Christmas and a black grill surround I had from back when I bought the grill. Combined with the Foose air dam I got in the Classifieds it turned out pretty good. Hopefully I'll get some extra work in the coming months and make the GT500 shortblock swap happen.

Looks good. I changed the TS bulbs on mine to remove the orangeness of them.
