97 f150 looking to get a turbo
How is swapping in both an engine and transmission from a Lightning, which is getting harder to find, better than a simple bolt-on supercharger out of the box? How many 10 year old Lightnings are wrecked out there waiting to be picked apart? You have no idea what you're getting with that, even if the miles aren't absurdly high. Drivetrain swaps, and tuning for them, are a PITA.
Easiest, most economical way to go is absolutely to just get a used supercharger. I don't even know anywhere near as much about this stuff as some folks on here, but that's pretty darn clear to me.

Here is a turbo kit 4.6/5.4 simple set up. But you probably WILL NOT get this far into your own thread!
