Why not do it yourself? It's not all that hard. Just take your time. Plenty of people have done it on here and could answer your questions when you have them.

I was inspired by your video twinskrewd, I think I am going to install this accessory. Now I just have to figure out when to put it in the cab.

did the efan conversion, took 5 hours at the dealer
RF269 isn't a perfect fit unlike threads are claiming, and so is the hose adapter

$560 later..

Glad you had success getting it done. Curious what thread claimed a perfect fit though. They are not perfect. Close though. Requires some trimming around the abs module and lines, 3 of the 4 bolt holes line up so you have to make a little offset for the fourth one. If memory serves me it's the upper on the drivers side.

well l Have to say I have been thinking about the E-fan convert for a little time now. I had my Alternator go out not to long ago and when changing it out I got a 215 amp High Output Alt that was built for the 05 crownvic police package. The part number between my 05 5.4 3v and the 4.6 was the same and 100$more with a lifetime warranty it was a no brainer. And with wanting to do the E-fan convert the added amps would be worth it.
the troyer performance set up i was thinking about at 450$ being all in one. then i noticed the newer F150s have E-fans in them so i found one at a junk yard for 150$ that came off a factory 150. now I see a lot of debate about the controllers to run the fans. I had thought at first that i could tap into a couple lines in my system and wire it that way using a temp prob. Thinkin the fans will need power which i could give them from the Bat and then one wired into a temp censor and one into the line that tells the ac compressor to come on.
I guess i thought it would be simpler then it might be. I guess if it comes to it the Painless controller ive seen yall talking about and just watched thier install video would likely be the one i pick. Now watching the install video it looks like the only thing the controller does is run both fans at any time they are needed and aslo allow them to run 50% at times. This being said It makes me wonder if my first thoughts would work in the wiring where i would not use a controller and just intergate the power. But i guess this would need to use relays to open and close when the 12v feed is needed to turn on the fans.
Now its late when i typed this and want to ask if my thinking is close?

Thanks
Rino

on "auto" mode, the fan stop I think from 25mph because there is enough airflow to cool the radiator (depending of the temp), my Ford dealer set the fans to stop at 50mph because I sometimes drive in the mountains.

on auto mode and depending of the temp, only one of the 2 fans is running, after a higher temp or if switched tp "on" mode then the 2 fans are running.

I couldn't feel a performance gain on ny supercharged truck, but it could be different on a non modified vehicle as I've heard, maybe.

anyone put e-fans in an 08'? the troyer kit is backordered because of shortage of parts and the flex-a-light seems a little overpriced. any other options out there for the 08' with the 4.6?

600$ on summit. heard you could drop the 10'-up f150 fans in there just had to cut one of the mounting brackets off. didn't get enough info on it though

... that's why I was asking if anyone could give the measurements for it
$150 for the one I posted the link to -150 cdn so even cheeper for you guys down south
subtract 10 cents on the dollar

not knowing the size of the 2010's rad and fans Idono if it will fit but I've seen ford windstar van fans swaped into the 97-03's also
you can get one of those from summit for about $100

f150 2010 e fan fit in a 04-08 150

I just put a 2010 f150 E-Fan in my 05 f150 with the 5.4. Seems like some of y'all are wondering about it's fit. I don't have any measurements. But I can tell y'all that they will fit right in after u remove the lower tab on driver of the unit and it will go right in. And you can even mount the passenger side using existing location from where the fan shroud was removed from. On the drivers side using the shroud mounting point also but u need to bfab a bracket about 2" long to make an adapter. And install is that easy. Now I used a painless dual fan controller to run my fans and the only part I seen in the forum that it seemed like people had trouble with was were to locate the temp sensor. Well after watching the painless install you tube video I found the drain port that is talked about that u can drain the coolant from the block with. It is located on the driver side on the bottom of the block under the manifold. Remove the plug, using an 8mm Allen socket, drain the old coolant and with the supplied sensor thread it right in to replace the plug.

I just put in the 09-14 EFan setup on my truck but used the Dakota Digital controller setup. Thing makes the best AC the trucks ever had. I blew up 2 of my Mad Enterprise controllers so I ditched the whole setup all together. I bought an extra RLY-3, along with a coolant temp sensor and radiator hose adapter and set it up just like twinscrewd. Mounted the controller inside on the drivers firewall and mounted the relays behind the battery. Overall I think the painless kit is more complete out of the box, but I'm still happy with what I got. Took a lot of modification to get it to work with my 04 Radiator thought.

hey rino, I wanted to go the exact route you did with the painless f5 controller and 2010 fans. what model number painless did you use? obviously the dual but what temp sensor did you get the 3/8 NPT or the 12x1.5mm??? also, I have the 4.6 in my truck (2008) does that have the same size drain port in the same place?? id go check myself but im currently outside the US. thanks

The painless kit comes with the sensor. Painless F5 kit 30140. Here's a thread I did on the install a few years ago. I'll look into the radiator issue as well.
