If you still have tracks open... the DA is only getting better, right? You'll get that 11 brother, stay at it!

Pull some weight too maybe?

I could bolt on a system and go but then I've spent $500-700 for something that's not optimized. I'm also not a fan of the $30 jugs of Boost Juice either. I found a great write up on meth tuning that would make me feel more comfortable doing this. http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewt...hp?f=33&t=8051
every new change we do to our trucks is a chance something could go wrong..

plus u don't need the $500+ kit
..http://www.ebay.com/itm/Snow-Performance-20001-Stage-1-Boost-Methanol-Water-Universal-Injection-Kit-/130608626399?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e68e17adf&vxp=mtr
and you can run windshield washer fluid..

(I started doing some testing with this and didn't find much change, though I didn't get the time to truly explore this)

That's a good question hi-rev. You guys have a much better gearing selection in the trans. So that really begs the question what is optimal for your set up.
What are you crossing the traps at now? Speed and rpm?

Note post 13 of this thread.

I'm not against meth or water injection by any means. I personally just don't see where I will benfit from it as you stated above.
I'm not so sure that every boosted application can benefit. If you don't need the octane and your IAT's are at optimal levels then I don't see where there's any benefit. One of the reasons I've never gone this route. I do believe there's a time and place for it. I desired lower IAT's and made it happen with a higher volume intercooling pump. I have a larger heat exchanger on hand now which I will install in place of the Whipple heat exchanger to see if temps fall anymore. I also plan to fabricate a larger intercooler coolant tank. My temps rise 14-16 degrees now with 13psi and a quarter mile run. I would love to see how much of that I can change without a mod that will require custom tuning.

Intercooler heat soak, poor quality fuel, boost levels producing heat not readily managed by the intercooler system, detonation due to any of the above, or a desire to run more timing. These are just some examples of why one would choose meth injection. Of course I would suggest to anyone that you optimize your cooling system first then proceed.
I killed my maggy after 3 weeks of water/ meth... Something about water and alcohol passing through bearings, that the bearings don't agreed with and locked them up.. I finally got it fixed right after they sent me two different blowers, but now I went to e85 and not looking back... Just a suggestion

Unfortunately I don't have a video of my 12.3@110 run. I'll do my best to get one this week even if it's just a phone video. Anyway thought I would add this to the thread. From last November when I cracked my flex plate. My best on this day was a 12.4@108.98 but this video from a guy at the track who liked my truck is only a 12.6@108.

Notice how you can't hear the Whipple

Nope. You would have heard the announcer say it. Plus I was credited with the win. My reaction time was +.2708 Heres the slip. I did a close up and away shot because it has faded so badly

I would've thought so too, but I watched it 5 times, pausing once your truck started moving and checking the tree, and still thought you might've jumped. Guess the truck lurched, but didn't actually go. Good job treeing him so badly!
