Dont let cops drive your *****

Let my police friend drive my truck. Apparently he drove it hard enough and fast enough to melt my saleen side skirts lol. Exhaust must have got a bit warm.

Now I just got back from the exhaust shop, ripped the skirts and saleen (single in dual out chambered muffler) setup off and put on my old X pipe and a new 22" magnaflow dual in dual out muffler. The exhaust goes over the axle and then dumped inside the tow hitch so it cannot be seen at all. So I've had 6 exhaust setups on this truck including a 14" dual magnaflow, 18" DI/DO magnaflow and now the 22" DI/DO magnaflow. I must say although its not broken in yet I love how QUIET the truck is now. Sure it has some drone until your up to speed at around 2000 RPM but I can whisper to a passenger now to maintain a conversation. Also I can hear the whipple everytime it makes a peep which is pretty cool. WOT it screams, I never knew that before lol. I didn't take any pics of the new setup cause it looks like everyone else with true dual but I still HATE the magnaflow sound at idle or with very light throttle. Chambered mufflers sound vastly better in these areas. However WOT I think the truck enjoys farting easier.

Looks like he was doing burnouts.

Moving through the air the heat is pulled away. Looks like its sat in a slow cooker.

I love my factory sound exhaust. It's just civil on the high ways.

Yea I dunno exactly what happen but in the end I'm happy with a more civil exhaust. I guess free flowing and quietish can coexist

Na didn't drive the cruiser. They are horribly slow and top at 130. I let a couple of friends and their wives drive my truck. Its only a vehicle.

I was a little pissed but it could have just happened while he was driving I'll never know. This is the same cop friend that helped me get my SCT tuner back in my other thread when the guy broke into my truck. He was the only one that helped after calling 2 different police departments.

With all that said I am LOVING the 22" Maggie. Its very quiet until you floor it. The it roars but I can still hear the blower a million times better. Very sleeper.
