Vortech supercharger

This is a S-Trim Model

I bought this with the intention of installing it on my 4.6 Thunderbird but i have not had the time of the rest of the money to finish the project

the time has come for me to purchuse a house so id like to get this out of my storage unit and some cash in my pocket

as stated before i have not used this supercharger i bought it used off a fellow club member from my online car club that i have known for a few years

i have the headunit which has extremely low miles off a rebuild from vortech but it is not BRAND NEW less then 5000 miles are on the unit total and it shows

i have the headunit which is univeral and mounting plate that will bolt it onto any 2v 4.6 mustang, thunderbird, cougar, crown victoria, grand marquis, town car etc you get the picture
you can purchuse different mounting plates for differnt motors Chevrolet or Chrysler

i have the mounting hardware (4.6)

a serp belt

a pulley which i believe measures 2.8" if im correct

a set of 8 42lb green top Ford Racing injectors- same used in the lightning trucks

a blow through mass air sensor calibrated for a 4.6 running 42lb injectors- Plugs into thunderbird mafs harness......might work on mustang too?

comes will blow off valve
oil feed and return lines to oil pan
2" autometer boost/vac guage

missing air inlet pipe and maybe a few other small pieces i do have pictures

i have around $1600 into the Supercharger and extras

i will seperate the supercharger from the injectors/mafs/boost guage

make an offer within reason i know i will not get my full investment back but i will not take $50 for it either i will not respond to low ball offers i will just keep it

Max Speed: 50000 RPM
Max Boost: 20 PSI
Max Flow: 1000 CFM
Max Power: 680 HP
Peak Efficiency: 72% Performance specs apply to units equipped with standard gearcase.

Discharge ID: 2.38"
Inducer Diameter: 3.1"

i did a quick search and found the mounting for the trucks vs cars is diff. could i call vortech and get the proper brackets? he said hed take 1,200 for the whole deal. 42lbs an hour injectors and the MAF are thrown in with it.

Also been wondering do i have to up my oct with this style of blower? i know some blowers you have to run 91 or more.

and i dont plan on running over 8PSI of boost to save my rods and what not.

also what spark plugs i know the lighnting guys say NGK but what heat range?

Thanks a bunch guys hope to get this rolling.

#1 depends on how much boost you're running...

#2 anytime you add boost you need to run premium octane...

#3 you need a solid tune

#4 it's a car kit, plan on spending some money (or fabbing some pieces) to make it work on your truck

That would be a good deal if you had a 4.6 Tbird. Check with Vortech and see what the rest would cost.
It is possible to make your own mounting plate, etc, possibly using the included Vortech tensioner.
I made mine and used a Procharger tensioner. Lotta work and money.

Here's some photos of Derrick's:

They may not offer a kit anymore as the Gen 10 trucks are older now? But Derrick's is an 02' and iirc, there was a kit for a 00' in the classifieds.

Google around a bit and see if you can find a parts list, and, or installation instructions. They are out there but may require some searching. That way you can compare what the kit you are looking at has that you can use.
