Best route - Whipple Blower from JDM, were in the low $3k range

Cheapest - Nitrous

Most effiicent - well blower is easiet to install and doesnt require refills like nitrous. Turbo kits are far more intense install.

Most Power - per PSI a turbo will out power a Supercharger STS kits make on 5-6 PSI what a blower does on 8-10 on these trucks. However a sts kit is twice the price of a Whipple, Roush, Saleen, etc and its harder to find tuners for it as its more of a one off custom deal.

If I was you I call JDM -> http://www.teamjdm.com/ and see about the Whipple kits. While I was at it I would also see about making it the 10PSI upgrade kit. Should put your around 400-430RWHP.

I don't run nitrous on my truck but I do on my acura, its a small shot though so there aren't really any issues.

off hand does anyone know the stock rwhp? i do currently have a cai and edge evolution, which i have no problem getting rid of.... and about a 100 to 130 hp increase for $3000 kinda steep isnt it? but.... a blower is the way i was leaning in the first place... and witn a turbo they need to spool up first right? so is that better? like when i want the power i want it there now not in 5 seconds

well a supercharger is generally better on a larger engine, but $3000 for a supercharger or turbo kit is actually not a bad price. I have seen some people run turbo's on truck engines with success

Way off on the numbers there. Its more like 170 rear wheel hp increase for $3000. Stock hp 300 flywheel and the average rear wheel is 225. An 8psi Whipple kit will put you in the 390's rear wheel. 10psi will get you in the 420 rear wheel range.

STS turbos are crap and they don't produce more hp than the blowers. Per there website: http://www.ststurbo.com/ford_f150
Stock 219rwhp 295rwt
7psi 348rwhp and 450rwt These numbers are slightly lower than the Roush 8psi kit on the Roush tune. Pitiful!
By the way the 450rwt looks impressive but don't be fooled. Its a temporary spike from 70-77mph. This looks to be a third gear pull which is an even bigger embarasment as 3rd gear pulls produce the higher numbers due to the near 1 to 1 ratio.

Like a dream. They say money can't buy happiness. Whoever said that didn't have a twin screw blower. I love mine!!! Even on 8psi and a stock exhaust except for catbacks she was running 13.3 @ 102.96. Heres 8psi for ya!

If I was going to do it all over again I would go turbo....

But that might happen anyway when I compound boost my setup...
