today's dyno numbers

Not sure if anybody still reads the sticky so I'll post my own thread.

I just did my dyno run on my 01

I was having some driving issues so I ended up changing plugs, cops, removed the fmu and inline pump then added a lightning fuel pump.

i have a 5.4 and running on heavy 24 inch wheels. 6 lbs of boost vortech sc.42lbs injectors and Lightning MAF 90mm.

rear end is stock 3.55

please give me your input. it was in 3rd gear.

what do you guys think?

Do you have a graph with fewer runs on it? Or one with your 006 run only? That one's making my eyes hurt lol. Just kidding, but it is really hard to tell whats going on. Did you just hit the dyno or did you get it tuned as well?

i got it tuned so that's why i guess there's so many runs.

i asked the tuner to send me the raw file so i can use the dynojet viewer to show whatever i need to see. hopefully he does that for me today or monday.

how do the hp/torque numbers seem so far?

Not bad for 6psi. The 24's combined with the 3.55's are hurting you. If you can get some 4.11's for it you feel all the power. www.diffsonly.com. email or call Wayne for the best price. Congrats on the blower. Nothing like it!

thanks for the tip on the gears. i definitely know its those 2 things that are causing power losses.

here's the graph from the 1st 2 runs they did.

it's got a nice and flat on the torque curve which is good, but the power and torque never touch which they should at 5250 rpms...

I'm hoping the 3.55 gears and your choice of wheels attributes to that

you stated they installed a "lightning fuel pump" by that do you mean they installed another stock pump or did they install a 255lph pump? (the Lightnings / Harley trucks use the same fuel pump as the other F-150's, except they use two of 'em)

what were your charge temps like???

I installed the dual pumps after removing the inline pump. I was trying to troubleshoot the fuel system.

Charge temps meaning the intake temp? I'm not sure of the readings yet until I get the raw data to view but it was cold and rainy today in So Cal so I'm guessing on the low side.

I don't have a ic for my Vortech.

I didn't take pics but here's 1 I found online. It's just a harness jumper. The L pumps come with them.

Good numbers, imo.
A non-intercooled centrifugal s/c at 6 psi may be OK, but as suggested you need to know what your Intake Air Temps are. If they are running over ~150* under boost then the pcm will control the timing by retarding for safety which results in a loss of power.
So, the 275 hp you see today with ~60* ambient temps there may drop off considerably in August when you are in the 80's - 90's. You need to know what the iat's are and consider some sort of charge cooling.
A progressive methanol injection system would be easiest with your current set up.
Some chatter about it:http://forums.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=966584
