Which Wideband setup? Logging?

What is the most popular setup these days?

I had a wideband commander right when they came out on a cobra so that is the only one I have fooled with, anything better these days?

Do a lot of you guys use logging for your tunes who are out of town? JDM is tuning my truck but I'm a longggggggg way from them so I'm thinking logging might be important once the truck is boosted.

Thanks, I remember the LM-1 was big deal back a few years ago.

Good read on the grounding info, thanks for that link!

I got a used innovate LC1 with the DB gauge and I couldn't get it to work right for the life of me, I didn't have any luck getting a hold of customer support either. After a lot of googling it seems that those units are often troublesome, not to say they all are or the LM1 is too. I ended up ordering an AEM uego wideband, it looks very simple to install, doesn't need calibrated, and has a lot less wires going on than the innovate. It will be here tomorrow, and shouldn't take long at all to install. If you're interested in the AEM I can let you know more about it once it's installed tomorrow.

Funny after all my research I ended up with the AEM also. Seemed like the best bang for the buck! Oh and I believe you can wire it into a XCAL3 also which will be pretty nice!

yes you can, I forgot to mention that I will be data logging with my xcal3 in livelink. My intent is to have it in tomorrow and start some logging because my tune needs tweaked badly so I can let you know if I recommend going the same route. The AEM also has a year warranty vs innovates 6 month FYI.

Oh, and I ordered mine through summit, if you call them they will price match, and they have free shipping.

I have a 2000 5.4 f150 would it make any sence to get one of these? I have a superchip and I feel that it runs really lean. Would I get the horsepower gains from a widebans system?

the wideband itself will never give you a horsepower gain. It is a tool used to make sure your engine is not running too rich or lean, it is likely your truck runs a little leaner with a superchip as they try to get you a little more horsepower and MPGs over the stock tune, however the gauge is especially useful when you are having custom tune work done and want to see how your truck is running. I have one so I can tune for my supercharger via e-mail and monitor any changes. I would imagine your truck is not running too lean that it's dangerous, are you hearing any detonation/engine knock that is causing you to think it's too lean? I wouldn't recommend spending the $200+ dollars and aggravation of installing a wideband if all you have is a superchip, it should be pretty safe as is.. just my 2 cents.
