I like a centi blower because it limits the low end power and saves my tranny.
The M5OD is not up to handling the power.

Thanks, Crash. As soon as I have anything else added, I will drop you a line. I just went to your site yesterday and man I can't believe the stuff y'all have done. Hats off to you and your bunch for all the experimenting and write-ups. Y'all are an inspiration to all us "wannabes" in the go fast world. May sound cliche', but keep on trucking!

Side note JMC - I have tested the M5OD to 478/542.
I seem to remember you toasting one a few years back.

i only ran a 6psi pulley on my truck when i had a vortech on it and boost came into play around 2400rpm all the way to my 5600rev limit at the time. ditched the vortech and rpm limit was to 6400rpm. just sold my diablo and now its back to stock wich is like 5200rpm or something

Mine makes a pound at about 2400 and builds from there.

Mine is making about a pound of boost around 2200 rpm, but I have the 9 psi set up. Really kicks in around 2400 and all the way out till it hits the rev limiter around 5600. I've found that if you don't let hit the rev limiter it works a lot better. Ford has this deal that it cuts the throttle at the rev limiter and it cause the truck to "fall on its face" so to speak just before the transmission shifts to save from banging the transmission. Good idea, but sure makes for some scary thoughts when it kicks in and you're thinking I just screwed up my truck and blew a head gasket or the transmission!

You probably don't want to spin it that hard with boost. Not with stock internals and an unmodified transmission.

Yeah it's definitely a plus for saving the engine and transmission. Hey Windsor, noticed your sig. says from the Bayou State. Where are you located? I'm up here in NW Louisiana.

my rev limiter is stock at 5600 but i shift out at 4898rpm and make 10psi on stock 3.8 pulley. with my 3200stall. boost doesn't kick in for me till 3200rpm. but it goes from 0-5psi then lol

Finally got to the dyno today. 406.43 rwhp and 412.86 lb/ft of torque on 89 octane. All the frigging gas stations around there were out of 91 octane and I was empty when I got there. Who would have thought! Oh well, not bad numbers, I think. Got to talk to the tuner at ATI about changing the shift rpm down to 5200 to 5300 rpm due to the mixture going a little lean (13.5:1) about the time it shifts at 5600. Either that or get a bigger fuel pump or booster pump.

Lowering shift points is terrible band aide. A new fuel pump is not too big of a deal, and a better start to solving the problem.
