What specs exactly, what questions do they ask you that they base how they build the valve body on? Also, is an aftermarket pan worth it, or is factory pan fine? If aftermarket is better can you suggest any. Thanks

Don't order the valve body until you're ready to install. It's not that difficult, just a real messy job. I put on a deeper pan when I installed the valve body. More fluid to absorb heat is never a bad idea and I filled it up with Mobil 1 ATF. Mag Hytec, B&M and PML all make deeper sump aluminum pans. I installed the PML unit on mine.

Yeah I will wait till I'm ready to install, Ide hate to have to pay $100 for not getting my old one in to them on time. I was looking at the PML pans like you have and it looks like they go for around $200, does it really make that much of a difference? I'm thinking I might just stick with factory and save a buck.

FWIW, the 4x4 pans have a little higher capacity, not much. That's just to charge you the core. I'm sure they'll still refund your $100 once they get the old valve body. I think giving you 30 days to return the core is a huge leap of faith on their part.
