Not impressed with WHIPPLE...

So I finally get my whipple after waiting a month today only to open the box and find this...

heat exchanger dented(picture doesnt do it justice)

charger to manifold gasket torn

coolant tank braket bent/cracked/scratched to hell.

pulley chipped

and to top it off instructions on how to install it in a MUSTANG!!! the parts checklist clearly states F150.

The box these items cam in is in perfect condition. This damage is from poor packaging and pure stupidity. NOT IMPRESSED. Now I get to spend my whole lunch hour tomorrow on the phone with whipple. GREAT! I know exactly how this is going to go...theyll blame the shipping company, shipping company will blame whipple blah blah blah been through this before. Did I mention I live in Canada and I waited a month for this???? Rant off...

Sorry to see this. What's the point of making precision parts and beating the puck out of them with cheap shipping?

Whoa thats horrible man! When I got mine and opened it, I had 2 heat exchangers lol. Other then that the packing and everything was perfect. Ive called whipple a few times and they seem reasonable to work with.

I sent them an email with those pictures hopefully that speeds up the prossess. I need to ship them my pcm anyways so its not too big of a deal to send these parts along. I just expected more for my thousands of dollars...sigh...

Why are you sending out your PCM? You should have to fill out a paper that tells them what PCM you have and your vin and they send you a tuner. I sent them pics of my front seal leaking and they sent me a new seal and oil right away. I imagine they will hook you up. I have never heard of such a eff up from whipple like that, but doesnt mean it cant happen.

Im getting the 10psi upgrade and was told I need to send them my pcm. Maybe the tuner they send is only for 8psi?

Wait, whipple is doing the 10PSI upgrade for you??? When I called they said they didnt sell the kit anymore so I had to make it myself. So I went with 8PSI and got the tuner.

I would not be having whipple do the tune, they leave way too much on the table sure it's safe but you can have a safe tune and enjoy better driveability

yup i called whipple and they gave me a price for the 10psi upgrade and said I would need to send the pcm to them to get tuned. I would just be getting the tune from whipple as a baseline it will definatly be getting tweaked on the dyno.
