GT500 motor in an F150?
Says the guy that will still get beat by a bolt on mustang in a 600rwhp truck...
Trust me, I've played this game. If you want a toy, buy a lightweight car. It will be cheaper, faster, handle better, get more attention to the general public, get better mpg.... I could go on and on.
I wish I didn't have all what I have invested in my truck, so I could sell it. I could have just bought a used 3/4 crew cab diesel, had a c5/c6 vette as a daily, and have a built motor in my viper...

Vette.....
I read a road test of the vette Grand sport... it beats the GT500. The mustang IMo, is a nice muscle car. I like it mostly for what it costs, it's unmistakable exhaust note (esp w/ Borla Stingers) and cheap bolt-ons. The problem is, the mustang, from what I read, is a heavier car, limited my its rear axle set-up and has more power than the Vette GS, yet is out run, get worse mpgs, less skid pad. It's just not as good of a car. Take the camaro's and firebirds, they smoke the stang out of the factory. I would by a used stang as a toy and do some power mods for the occasional thrill, but if you are looking for a great performance - borderline perfection, the vette is the best option. IMO

I would totally agree with you Justin but these guys don't understand that because they don't have blue ovals on em. You have to spend so much more money on them to make less power. There's no replacement for displacement. You couldn't give me a mustang. Well you could then I would sell it and buy something lsx powered

bahahahahaha!
Comparing the GT500 to the vette is not even like comparing apples to apples. Try putting 5 people in a vette. Plenty of luggage room. And a lot easier and cheaper to extract power. And already has the live axle to take the abuse. Its not a low riding ***** mobile that looks like someone ripped off the designed of a mazda and backed it into a concrete wall to flatten the rear. If you realy wana compare apples to apples, the GT is more suited. Then your just talking about a far superior car all together. Slap on a set of twins and a little more fuel and easily push over 1000hp. Try that with a door wedge..I mean a vette.

A $1000 investment in mods will pick you up about 100 rwhp on a GT500. Try that with a vette, or anything else.

0-100..... no

True that FF. I think after college in a few years I'm gonna have to get a Cobra once I am situated. I'll two Ford's to play with
