For example

this truck Mods are magnacharger w/ 2.8 pulley, Pacesetter LT's w/ hi flows, With boost levels at 7, basically what you have and a tune....

His numbers arnt bad considering the temp that day was 90F obviously creating high charger temps!

Thanks Weazel.....! I have a LOT to learn about this supercharger business. If I can get numbers close to those, I'll be a happy banana! Of course I am already considering installing e-fans to try and pick up a few more HP. This HP stuff is adictive to say the least. My original goal was for 400 RWHP. That might be an unreasonable goal with my truck. If we can get close I'll be ok with it.
I'll be headed to the dyno in a couple of hours. Hopefully this will be a productive day like batn68 had on Tuesday.

I'm really starting to wonder what my numbers on the dyno would be. I wish I had to spare money to get a run in before my new rods, pistons, and crank are installed. 376 hp on 7 pounds sounds great to me. Wish I knew what my turbo was doing. The dynograph on www.ststurbo.com for my year truck is pitiful. I made 345 hp on 4 1/2 pounds after my dyno guy tuned it. Oh well...at around the end of march ill post the dyno results on 20 pounds. I'm hoping for around 475-500 hp.

Well....................one step forward.............two steps back! Got the new tune on the truck this morning and on the dyno. No too impressed with the numbers we got. Lost HP & torque.

340 HP & 362 torque.

The truck is running a little rich. 10.31 and gets even richer at 4750 rpm.
I can really tell the difference in how it runs now vs. before the new tune. Seems like I lost a lot of low end torque. Not sure what the next step is.
It is running a whole lot safer now than before which is a good thing.
Any ideas guys????

Did you datalog? If not, send the graph with A/F ratio to Mike and ask him to tweak the tune.

sounds like to me he over compensated for the lean condition to much.. dont worry you will get it straighten out. still not bad numbers considering how rich you were!

Did not datalog when we saw the AF numbers back close to where they need to be. I tried to get in contact with Mike this morning, but he never called me back. I did fax the graph to Mike this afternoon. I will be out of town on a trip this weekend so it will be next week before we can tweak anything.

What e-fans do you guys recommend? That will be my next step for more HP.

More info later guys! Thanks for all the help and direction on this little project!

Mike will get you straighten out.

I have the Flex-a-lite 270 kit with the shroud. It's pretty efficient and I haven't had any problems with it. It's kind of expensive but you get what you pay for.

If I didn't have so much invested in this adventure, I would take this Magnacharger off and go back to stock! I am just about to the end of my rope. It has turned into a bottomless money pit. Sorry guys............I guess I need to vent a little right now.

Plus................I am now getting a P0430 code just about every day. Any ideas how I eliminate this code? One more thing to have to deal with!!!!

Has to do with your catalytic converter. Mine does it whenever it is cold. Bust out your SCT or Diablo and clear it off. That's what I do.

We've all felt that frustration at some point.

So, the only cure is to spend more! Buy a wideband, datalog yourself, and send the logs to Mike.

Yea............my dyno shop says he wants my buisness, but for some reason he does not want to datalog my truck. His shop stays very busy, so I guess he doesn't want to take the necessary time to get it done. There is only one other dyno in my area that I am aware of and they are a muffler and oil change facility more than a dyno shop. I doubt I would get much help on the datalog there either.

I am going to get my other two tunes loaded into my handheld this morning and install the towing tune for the weekend. We fish our first tournament of the year on Sunday. Hopefully the truck will get the job done.

I think I can PM. Lets chat when you have time.
