So far, the replacement engine is in. The truck is at a local tuner's right now. He's telling me that the correct tune is definately not on the truck. I think he read the exhaust, but was instructed to definately not go into the PCM until I can get over there and download a copy onto my Excalibrator 2. With the holiday, I've been S.O.L. on getting over there to meet him. I'll keep you guys posted.
By the way, I just read something saying Matt is getting 20 mpg towing?!? I,ve never gotten better than 16.5 on the highway not towing, and 8.5 towing a 22' Skeeter. Does that sound right?

so far, the replacement

I bet you'll be glad to get it back up and running soon! Will you have legal recourse with the Lincoln dealer if the wrong tune shows up in the PCM? Lastly, did the dead engine get sold?

I never got 16.5 mpg even before the supercharger and gas mileage is about the same with it if I don't mash on it. I have 4.10 gears and do a lot of mixed driving though.

I get 13MPG max with the stock Roush tune. Down to 11/10.8 at the moment.

With my Whipple at 10psi, custom tune, and 4:56 gears I get between 9.6 to 9.9mpg.

WOW!

You must be on the pedal all the time.

I get 15.5 MPG in the city and 20-21MPG on the highway at 68 MPH. Then again, I'm pretty light on the accelerator most of the time and I don't have jumbo tires on either.

Or maybe I have an issue. I've been in Toronto for the last 2 months, MPG is now reading 10.3....could be from all the idling i guess.

I`m not that hard on the pedal. Not overly mashing it or anything.

Even that's too low. I ran mine in Phoenix at 105 degree temps and still managed OK mileage. WAY above 10.3 (14-19 with the air on and frequent heavy runs). Are you running 35's or similar?
