DIY turbo f150 phase 1, gettin' parts


Time to start getting parts together for turbo install. 31x12x4 intercooler off ebay $99. ordering t70 next week. test fit of i/c behind bumper ws absolutely perfect!

Cool. Are you going to have to tap your oil pan for the turbo? Keep us posted on your results

Yes i'm going to tap an extra pan i have. will post more pics as parts come in and test fitting continues

is that a single? dual or triple core intercooler? what is the HP rating on it?? how much research did you do.. a cheap intercooler isnt always a good one.

1000hp rated, .5psi drop at 15psi, 800cfm compressed flow rate, 4 core

Yeah i sure have looked at it, but i do not like the idea of my turbo so low as we have some snow here once in a while and i pull cars out of ditches and dont want to hang anything else in a drift or on a culvert trying to help out. i know i could make a shield but i also want to see the turbo when i pop the hood.

Wish it could be this, but budget wont allow it(wife said no), so its time for the turbo
