Roush track #'s
Roush track #'s
Latest issue of "Ford truck Performance" has a dyno run and track runs with a new Roush stage 3 f150 extended cab truck.
The truck "put down 345/391".. Truck is supposed to be bone stock except for exhaust. This would be 8PSI. 32.3" tires and 20" wheels... I assume 3.73 gears.
Anyways, they claim to have run a best of 13.93 and 13.98@ 96MPH at Englishtown Raceway.
The 10PSI whille truck ran a what... 14.00 and the 7PSI Powerworks truck ran a 14.4 @94... Something like that.
Point being, all positive displacement superchargers are comparable to each other. I personally don't believe the Roush truck had a stock tune because the trap speed was 96MPH... and the stock tune is 95MPH... I am certain the truck had a custom tune.
Just some food for thought guys.

I believe that these superchargers are comparable, but I don't think it's fare to compare a run at Englishtown, NJ under unknown conditions to a run made elsewhere under unknown conditions...track conditions and ambient conditions could make the ET and MPH vary quite a bit...
hell, I'd be happy with a Powerworks, Roush, or Whipple...my goal is to make a very reliable 400 hp and I think all of them could do it...

Also, I thought speed limiter was 95MPH... Other users posted stopping at 95MPH with roush tune. This is just a comparison of the three. I'm not being bias in any way.. just stating #'s posted on this site and in magizines..
Personally, I "think" I could run in the high 12's with a blower and good tune... regular cab, 4.10's and small diameter tires. Low 13's for sure.

HI!... I ran a 13.60E.T on 7 cylinders (broken compression ring in #5) N/A. Must be the *METRIC* air up here in Canada! LOL!

Your truck is also alot lighter then a scab 04+ new body style
Its been months since my last post but..When will you finally have forced induction..........
We'll wait here.
Teasing ya Neil....1 question tho.Are you selling the metco lowers cuz you bent the frame bracket? Or your going to a 4 link.I ask cuz I have the same lowers but have only run street tires. But I wonder how the bracket will hold the force of slicks.Maybe the ranchero bars would be better?
HI!... And faster even if it has a SC'er! LOL!

HI!... Just selling the metco's due to I'm converting over to a 4-link set-up currently. Nothing wrong with them. They still look almost new. I ran at the track and on the street daily with NITTO 305/45/R-18's and never had a problem with them. I went a 1.8360FT.

well my heavy screw 2wd with the stock Roush tune netted me a best of 14.57 @ 95 mph and this was at night with a nice cool dense air. I did have to make the run in 2nd because I could not control the wheel spin that well in first. I did have 285/50/20's with 3.55 grears. Now I have 305/40/22's and a custom tune and lower pully now pushing 390/446 last time on the dyno. Maybe I can head out to the track tonight or tomorrow if it doesnt rain.
