Cat removal

Cat removal

Is it possible to remove the catalitic converters altogether?? what happens to the O2 sensors? just plug them back in the pipe? Would you need a new tune? Being down in south America, emissions is not an issue here and I would like to remove the cats ...

Thanks for the info.
You will set codes for the catalyst monitor and rear HEGO sensors if your truck has standard OBDII. You will need to get the rear sensors turned off, or put in HEGO simulators which seem to work pretty well.

Cant you just purchase MIL elimenators like with the mustangs and plug them into the two rear 02 sensors??? I'm going to be removing the cats all-together as well and I was going to just do that.

They arent cat elimenators, they are MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) eliminators... Basically if you put an off-road pipe on or remove all the cats you put the MIL elims on the rear 02 sensors so it doesnt set of the check engine light.
