Subject: SEMA Urgent Legislative Alert: California Lawmaker Trying to Sneak by a Bill to Require...
Immediate Action Needed!
the hearing is TODAY, Thursday, Aug 28!!
California Lawmaker Trying to Sneak by a Bill to Require ANNUAL Emissions Tests for Vehicles
15-Years Old and Older
Committee Hearing set for August 28. Call Now!!!
In an effort to avoid public scrutiny, California Assemblyman Dave Jones (Assemblymember.jones@assembly.ca.gov) has amended a completely unrelated bill with language to require annual Smog check inspections for vehicles 15-years old and older. This represents an obvious attempt to sneak through legislation in the closing days of the legislative session that had been previously defeated (A.B. 616). The new bill is designated as A.B. 3053.
While pre-1976 motor vehicles would remain exempt under existing California law, this proposal ignores the fact that vehicles 15-years old and older still constitute a small portion of the overall vehicle population and are a poor source from which to look for emissions reduction. Furthermore, the bill would direct that the funds generated through annual inspection fees be used to scrap older cars. This represents another attempt by California legislators and regulators to scapegoat older cars.
This is the type of activity that fuels distrust in public officials. SEMA caught this lawmaker’s underhanded attempt to circumvent public process and is now calling on you to help defeat A.B 3053 before it’s too late.
Time is of the Essence! We Urge You to Call the California Senate Appropriations Committee (List Below) Immediately to Oppose A.B. 3053

Hey Drew, I've been drooling over your truck and the #'s you make for a while now. And after 30 minutes of reading over this thread, I got a question or 2.
1. How is the truck mechanically now since it's been FI for 2 yrs?
anyways, I couldn't resist it anymore. I bought a RoushCharger Non-Intercooled today on eBay from the seller RoushPerformance...aka acompsroush from right here on F150online.com....some of you might remember him from his 1,500 Roush Grill sale thread.
Sucks that I have to pay $350 shipping to Hawaii though. Still, $2,400 for a S/C is awesome. Especially for y'all stateside that get the $60 UPS shipping. Lucky buggers. S/C'd for under $2,500
2004-2006 RoushCharger Non-Intercooled for $2,400
I'm interested in seeing what kind of power I'll end up making. The RoushCharger Non-Intercooled Page says I'll gain 112/112 HP/TQ. We have 93 octane out here...so we'll see. I intend to leave her stock for now and at tax time do a pulley upgrade/dyno/intercooler setup.
Either way, I am stoked. You guys are bad influences.
oh yeah, I'll have a Volant up for sale soon

Any weird noises, slips, leaks...etc?
2. You had a RoushCharger originally right? Can the non-intercooled RoushCharger be upgraded later to an intercooled setup?
