Exclamation 04-06 F150 Supercharged Owners....HELP! Share your info so I can buy without doubts!!

I'm Drew,
I would appreciate your help and information about your supercharger. Even if you don't own an 04-06 F150 but can provide insight, it will not only help me but others who also want to go boosted but need facts from other owners who have spent their hard earned money on this big ticket purchase.

I have read tons of information on what is available for our trucks along with great information by email and phone from Jerry and Robert. (Sorry guys I'm stuck again.) Based on what I have learned, here is my opinion, and more questions about the; Whipple, Trilogy and Powerworks systems which are my choices over Roush, Vortech and KB.

Whipple;
Yes it makes more power, cost more from the start but why are you owners having to spend more money just to have everything run correct? Speed limiter removal, injectors which now require a personal tuner. I have one of the best here in So.Cal but for the polished system, injectors, tuner, installation, tuning and dyno runs I'm between $7500-$8000. Thoughts?

Trilogy;
I am very impressed with the system contents and compared to other systems, on paper it should be a hot ticket item. So why isnt it? Has anyone purchased one for our F150's? I was ready to try it out until I was told they had no more polished systems and their powdercoat is not the best look. I have no problem waiting for one, but that option doesnt seem to be available.
Back to the Whipple?

Powerworks;
Good numbers, comes in polished.......... but the fine print in their warranty raised red flags in my mind all day long... For the first 90days -1500 miles you have no warranty. This is when problems will surface so what good is it? For me, I only have 3200 miles on my truck and I purchased it new 4/2005 so warranty activation could take ???????? for me. Back to Whipple?

Thanks,
Thoughts???

If I had a 04-06 and had to start over.I would spend the money on the Whipple.I think its BS to have a rev limet on a SC truck so I would spend the extra on the custom tune and upgrade the injectors too.
I think this is one of them,you get what you pay for things!
I would not worry about warrantys.There not going to cover a blown motor anyway and thats the worst that can happen.The Wipple blower should last forever.They have been around for a long time and make a very good blower.

The Whipple doesn't have to cost you more. You can get the Whipple without the speed limiter on it now. Injectors and other upgrades are only needed if you pump up the boost. In the future, Whipple will have a tune for the 10psi upgrade, this is what they were working on developing with my truck. As for now though, you will have to custom tune if you want to up the boost. If you stick with the stock whipple at 8psi, get rid of the speed limiter, then you are good to go for the sticker price plus install.

And if you are willing, the whipple is a complete kit, you can do the install yourself and save that expense.

Not sure where you read this "fine print"! Please let me know, as to my knowledge there is nothing in writing that states anything like that. As for the rest of the thread, this kit is also complete and comes with larger injectors not a pump booster and has an EO certificate to go along with it as do some of the other kits. The only thing you need to buy is coolant for the intercooler system. If you have any questions you can go to the Powerworks website and either send me a note or give us a call.

OK I stand behind the last conversation we had:

Polished Whipple
Custom tune

Your truck will be sick.

I don't know enough about the newer trucks, but for my 97, a larger fuel pump and injectors optimized the performance of Procharger. The kit for the new Whipples may include all of this...

Hey whats up? This mod has become a job in itself... Lets talk. I like the powerworks numbers below

no cat back exhaust no other changes other than the Powerworks kit at 61/2 - 7 PSI.

Drew,
I'm surprised that your mod money hasn't burned a hole completely through your pocket yet!

Better spend it quick before it's gone.

I've been outta town, took a trip to Cabo and just got back last night. We can talk Tuesday, I need to catch up on a lot of things...liek sleep!
