ProCharger output question

I am really close to putting a p1sc on my 2005 5.4 3v F150 2wd screw 3.73 gears, which would include larger injectors as part of the package. What kind of power would I expect to see with this setup and a good tune on the Xcal2?

Will I be as fast as my old 03 HD screw with 9 inch lower pulley and diablo tune? ( I understand that this truck is lighter than my current one)

Please help soon since I plan on making a deposit on the blower tomorrow, if it looks to perform well.

If you're running the stock 9# pulley I'd say you would be somewhere around the 340 to 350 rwhp range, not sure about the rwtq. That puts you well over 400 hp. at the crank. My 01 s-cab with the P1-SC is running close to 300 rwhp. It pulls hard constantly. I love it.

why? ( love the one liners) I had the 6 lb lower on it(ny HD) and I know it was a blast to drive, I had around 360 rwhp based on the harleytruck owners site. 330 stock rwhp plus the increase from raising the boost.I realize it was lighter, but I thought the 3v 5.4 would make a ton of power with the p1sc...

The Harley with 6# is the same as an L with a 4# and that's closer to 400/500 at the wheels. I have yet to see an aftermarket SC put those numbers down on a stock motor Without more upgrades.

The 3V does have more potential but you'll have to spin the Procharger faster than that.

And why in the Hell would you sell the BEST Looking truck on the road today???

You have to forgive me, I'm kinda biased. You should be on the Heels of a stock/ low modified HD with a few upgrades (12psi/dyno tune/injectors/possibly pumps etc)

What is the sound like on the Procharger compared to the whine of the eaton I had on my HD?

procharger whistles, eatons whine! You'll hear the PRO at idle also.

Thanks.

How does the power delivery of the PRO compare to the eaton, when does it deliver its power in compared to the eaton? Thanks for the help!

The procharger's really start pulling in the 4500+ range. Lets say you get the procharger and run 9psi, you won't see that 9psi until you are pretty close to redlining it. With an eaton if you are running 9psi you will see that 9psi from 2000rpm almost all the way to redline(eatons have a tendencey to choke out on the top end).

So to answer your question the procharged motor will be nothing like the eaton powered HD as far as your every day street driving which mostly stays below 4Krpm.

On a positive note the eaton and its instant boost is alot harder on your motors internals and drivetrain than a procharger would be.

If it was me I would go with a positive displacement blower on a truck and or anything that you want all the power you can get in the lower rpm's. If I were setting something up to race it I would go with a centrif. blower because it is more efficient in the powerband that I would be in during racing i.e. 5K and up.

Or lol....you can get the best of both worlds with a turbo setup

I'm not sure about all that.
I see boost just below 2,000 rpm, and nice linear power build to shift points. Good boost / power in the 2- 4, 000 rpm range. My guess would be that the Pro would be better as it has more cfm available than my Powerdyne.

I know Roush makes a positive displacement blower for the 3V, I think it is like $5800 or somewhere in that range.

As for turbo kits...I haven't seen one yet for the 3V but I am sure they are in the works somewhere.
