Here is a link to a simplified horsepower calculator. On the page is a link to download a more technical performance calculator. Enjoy.

Bullitt,

80 hp too high? Just guessing the values for your set-up, I plugged in 200 rwhp, 92 octane, 12 psi of boost, 3 core intercooler and the results were 361.118 rwhp. From past posts, I know you are making around 350 rwhp, so how is it off by 80hp???????????????

Isn't it odd that, even though, the first calculator is intended to be very simplistic, it does not consider engine size nor type of supercharger

i plugged in 215 rwhp from my naturally aspirated track times (which is conservative) and then the same figures you mentioned, and it spit out 388 rwhp, quoting a gain of 173 HP. not possible. my truck doesnt even make 300 at the wheels. its quite sad actually.

Why would it need to know your engine or blower type to calculate? Boost is boost, and rwhp is rwhp.

Because boost from a blower with high parasitic loss means less HP to the wheels.

Turbos are very efficient with less parasitic loss (driven by wasted exhaust gas versus a belt), so you'll get more power with a given boost pressure versus a supercharger.

A better more useful calculator would show where hp and more importantly for our trucks, where torque, is produced in the rpm range for a specific forced induction type. The fastest F150s, produce much more torque than hp and begining producing that torque lower in the rpm range.

You should check out our supercharger system calculator

It does complete calculations for your entire system including the supercharger head unit, the intake and exhaust systems, fuel delivery, density raito modeling and more...

A little off but pretty close with "92" octane. With a 100octane it's not even close, about 70rwhp shy of what I make. Which in theroy I could make more.
