thats fine. cutting stuff is fun! haha. Ill probably only keep things in the engine bay that have to be there. Unnecessary things will be deleted.

Thanks for the recommendation on the tank lol. I really want to do a raised bed floor instead of cutting the bed, but idk. I still need to do a lot of shopping around to see who has what parts and at what prices, but hopefully ill have it figured out soon. I all ready have spindles on the front so once i get the bag in there i may move the upper control arm up a bit and cut that bumpstop off. Thanks again! I only plan to do this once, so no shortcuts! Ha

cut and welded those angle iron braces in the centers for more support, took off about 2/3" of material off the bottom of it. primed and painted
lol, i should be picking up the majority of the rest of the parts in a week or two actually. Im not sure if the motors or the bags will be first tho..

and thats your truck?! i didnt know you did that.
thank you! ill probably mimic that pretty closely. i scrape that crossmember almost daily

Actually did it before the 5/7 because i knew i needed to have it done :o

actually this picture ive posted before, shows the exterior of the frame rail where the trans crossmember is bolted to the frame. See the vertical silver bolt bracket just above the jack

here's another picture of the internal bracing

Remember when we were talking a while back and I said I was gonna be lower, with more ground clearance?

Humm... Someone wants to bag their truck huh?

The KP 6 link will save alot on cutting/welding.
You will need a notch - if you planning on running 24's that will put the rear end housing 1-2 inches above the frame rail. (if your gonna lay frame)
Alter Transmission crossmember (I Did like pat, But i took more off and welded a piece of flatmetal back on mine)
Tunnel Driveshaft - The two frame crossmembers will have to be cut and weld in a round piece of 4 inch pipe, Maybe more. Also the rear of the cab will have to be cut to fit over the pieces of pipe.
Rear end - Will have to be shortend. I had to shorten mine 1 inch on each side. And thats just with 20's 35 series tires.
Front suspension - i bought all new stuff, uppers and lowers. But im sure you can modify the stock stuff to work. Also where the uppers mount to frame you will have to raise the mounting point around 3 inches.
Tie rods- Cut, turned and rewelded. simple fix.
Front inner fenders - Lots o cutting. Even back into the firewall. Move fusebox, and a whole lot of stuff.

Thats all i can think of now. This is all if your planning on laying frame like i am. check thread for pics and whatnot. Link on my sig

thanks!
ive already notched one crossmember, so ill just have to put a small one in the second one. I didnt know about raising the uppers, im going to be using drop spindles. Oh well as long as i dont have retarded camber ha. I need a new axle anyway so why not get it shortened. Ill probably end up buying tubular control arms just because i like them. How much of the firewall has to be cut?

thanks for the help, ill shoot you a pm if i have any more questions if its cool

Not a whole lot of the firewall has to be cut. But i guess if you change the uppers from L to R you might not have too. I used 2" drop spindles on mine aswell and still had to raise the uppers.

If you got questions ask away. But i might not be quick to relply
