Mcgaughy's makes a flip kit that may work better. It uses a bracket to relocate the front leaf spring bolt in addition to the lift shackle. It cost more, but if I had to do it over again I'd go that route. Now that it's all done though, I'm thinking about swapping out the flip kit for leafs from ground force.
Ditto on what bankrupt said. if you have the 5.5 bed on your truck. There is no way ford could put the 36.7 oversized fuel tank on because the wheel base is too small with the 5.5 bed. Those two Items, the 6.5 bed and the gas tank which is an option and hard to get might I add. Unless you ordered it from ford directly. Thats what dropped mine 6" instaed of 5" hope this clears it up for you

Here is another piece of info for you as well and you can ask stealth this one as well he will back it up I saw a post from on the lowering of his truck and he mentioned that the ford stock leaf springs are sotf. When you flip them you really notice how soft they are. Again Ditto, to maintain the ride height that I want with a 500lbs toung load the slam air from air lift reprot 1800lbs capacity but I will have to run air presure on the drivers side 90 because of the over sizedgas tank and 75 on the passanger side to level it out with that weight. So I agree that the springs are a bit soft they offer a kit that prvides 2000 lbs in the slam air by air lift. Look in the lowering section of stylin concepts to see the two diffferent set ups I believe it is just a different bag on the 2000lbs kit

As far as mcgauhey The springs are set at what ever the advertised drop is however if you read the small print it will tell that you will loose some payload by installing there springs. Also I believe that you have to relocate your carrier bearing with there kit to get the drive line angle set properly. I have read some post on there relocation kits some are right on with the kit and others had to shim the drive shaft to get the correct angle. On the bel teck I installed no issues to date cut out the center carrier bearing mount drilled a fwe holes per the instructions and done deal hope thai helps
