djm lower control arms

The instructions say to use a smaller tire, what does the size of tire have to do with the control arm?

And from what I can tell the djm arm lowers the truck by moving the bottom strut mount closer to the ground, is that correct?

I'm thinking about ordering the 3" model and use the strut set on 2" to achieve the ride height I want and hopefully get more shaft showing on the strut for a better ride. I would order the belltech spindles but you have to run a 20" wheel which right now is out of the question.

This place has the control arms for $195 and free shipping. Anybody ever ordered from them? http://www.streetsideauto.com/produc...ampaign=Become

I'd call DJM and ask them what they mean by a smaller tire. Maybe overall diameter has to be shorter so you dont have tire to fender well clearance issues on your truck.

I had tire to inner fender clearance problems and i got them resolved with some trial and error on how much needed to be trimmed off of my truck.

yes on their lower kit they suggest a shorter tire, but you can get away with stock but you will hit your tires on the inner fender liners

DJM needs to add one word to clear this up, diameter.

When I lowered mine 3.5/5 I ran my factory wheels and tires for a little wheel with no problems heck my 24s are taller than my 17s where and I'm lowered 4.5-6 now and only run in a really sharp curve you will be OK with your factory wheels and tires

do you have room left to notch the hole some more on the lower control arm mounting points? If you are -1.7 I wouldnt think you would have to notch it much more to get it back to 0, but I am no expert by any means just thinking outloud here.

I have the bolts over as far as the crossmember allows. I have the holes notched as far as possible.

The drop you have is what I ran for 3.5 years with the stock lca's. But with another 1.5 - 2.0 inches they won't cut it.

I really don't think the DJM one is much shorter, if any.
