Load capacity after lowering

How much weight capacity do you lose after lowering? Towing capacity?

depends on what parts are used to lower the truck.

I still tow with mine even being dropped 3/5

Where I would worry about load capacity is when the frame is notched for axle clearance in a 6" rear drop. If the notch is not welded in properly you could have problems with frame stress in the area with a heavy load. With the standard shackle and hanger kits or just lowering shackles the only thing I would worry about then would be bump stop clearance; you have not changed the springs or modified the frame, you have only changed the suspension pivot points.

Case in point: On my 2001 F150, I have added 2" drop shackles to the rear, and have no problem adding 500 to 1000 pounds of gear to the bed, along with towing a 1000 pound trailer with a 150 pound hitch weight. It may squat a little bit, but it does not come close to the bump stops while sitting, and could hit them on a major bump, but I usually take it easy over major bumps anyway.
