need a lowering shop in california

NEED HELP SEE LAST POST

I have an 08 Screw 5.4 with the 6.5 bed that has a two piece drive shaft. Does anyone know or own a shop that can lower align and put the drive shaft at the right angle in california. Preferably in the Orange county or Inland empire area. I want to go to one shop and use a bell teck 3" front drop via bell techs adjusable strut and a 5" flip in the rear with the front A arms notched for the alignment and then also the carrier bearing adjusted to the correct factory degree along with the driveshaft so that there is no vibration after the truck is lowered the 3 5 drop.

Thanks guys

Mark

Tom's Tires in Santa Paula did mine. They do a lot of custom work.

Thanks Forged

I have tried traders before on a gm product was not happy on there customer service.

I guess what I need to ask is ther anyone that knows of a company that caters to ford aftermarket installs because I have the two piece drive shaft and the shops in my area cannot guarante no drive line vibration which means for me. Two choices not to lower the truck as much as i want to or take the risk of twisting up a drive shaft. I will be towing with this truck to the river which is about a 300 mile trip one way. I don't want to have any hic ups so that I get stranded in the desert.

Any info on this post ?

Thanks guys

lowering shop

anyone deal with these guys before Custom Truck Stop San Dimas. They recamend that I use the DJM flip in the rear because it has an off set pin that the leafs sit in and he claims the it moves the drive shaft about 1 to 1.5 inches back. Also there is a 9* adjustment to set the pinion angle. The design is rotatable for this measurement.

Any body ever use this flip kit and does it work well or are you always messing with it to keep the drive shaft in the correct position.

For the front bell tech adjustable struts I am going to set them at the 3" incriment.

They also tell me that if there is additional adjustment needed for the driveshaft then they will replace the carrier bearing and make the necesarry mods to install the carrier bearing correctly Does all of this sound the rightway to fix a vibrating drive line and of course my driveshaft is the two piece one. I have been told that they are very sesative to there proper stock settings nay feed back would be great

djm flip kit

Ok found a good shop in my area I want to run the bell tech struts that are adjustable +1 to -3 I will use the -2.5 or3 inch setting fro the front

My question is has anyone used the djm flip kit and had any trouble with it. It supposable has up to 9* for driveshaft angle adjustment. My truck has the two piece driveshaft. I was told by the owner of the shop that Djm's kit has a second pin that can be used to move the drive shaft back an additional 1 to 1.5 inches back to eleviate drive shaft binding from lowering it 5 inches

I also may have to use one of the aftermarket replacement carrier bearings. If the set back pin does not correct the drive live angle also.

Is this info correct, to eliminate drive line vibration. Also would this kit be ok to use for towing 5 to 6 thousand pounds trailer looking for input from someone that has already used or installed this kit. There will be helper bags for the towing when needed. Any info on this would be great

Thanks

Need Help

Let me try this another way

I have an 08 screw 5.4 long bed 6.5 it has the 2 piece dirve shaft.

I want to lower it 3" front 5" back the most important thing is gettting the drive line at the correct angle after the drop.

Who should I use for the flip kit, in the front I want to use bell tech's adjustable strut. For those that have done this kind of drop. What company did you go with any info would be appreciated

If you have specific part #'s that may work for me please include tham on your post

Thanks

Mark

I will if I can get some help on which flip kit is the best for my situation. My truck has the two piece drive shaft and in all apps for it metion relocating the driveshaft. However mcgauhy replaces the leaf spring pack for a 4" drop same with ground force I like the bell tech because it gives a 5 " drop. Even the tech line cannot give me an answer other than drop it and take it to a drive line shop What kind of R&D is that lower it and put in a new drive shaft thats rediculas. I want the truck to have a raked stance. The 3" front and the 5" rear will acomplish this. Bell Tech has a kit for this drop, but no help on the driveshaft in fact there installation instuction say this is for a one piece driveshaft ???????

anyone install one of these kits with the two piece drive shaft. If so how much trouble was the drive shaft. Did you replace it or where you able to modify the factory one with shims and a carrier bearing relocation kit to get the correct factory drive line angle back
