Heard that the ride is tolerable with the stockers. But if you are lowering your truck and want the best ride, go with the dampers. Good investment. - Og

Agreed with OG, really can help the ride with correct drop shocks on the vehicle.

Raised it 1 inch 2/4

With just a 2" drop shackle before springs

Screw, never understood why you would EVER want to get rid of your truck. It's one of the cleanest F150's I've seen. Nice stance at 2/4. - Og

Do you ever get bored of something? it's either my truck or my wife and i figure it this way if i get rid of the truck i lose 1% of an item if i get rid of the wife i lose 50% of all my items..... im just bored with it and i want something else like a new CHALLENGER so there goes my too much gas theory, besides its almost 4yrs old has 33k miles on it and i still owe $19xxx so im just talkin out my tooter for now. i want to bag it, i want to raise it 6 inches im all over the place with it.

I feel ya. Don't rush it, though. I'm sure your truck still turns heads.
BTW, loving Patman's '03, too. Nice and clean. - Og

lowering truck

I bought a Supercrew already lowered supposedly 2" front and rear. The 2" in front I believe but the 2" in back I'm not sure of. The stock shocks are still on and I think to begin with may have been fine but it seems they have worn out prematurely as the front end particularly seems a little unstable on rough surfaces. Smooth roads ride fine though. What I'm not sure of is the correct shocks to buy for it. If anyone has any clue please let me know. I'm running 275/45/22 on front and 305/40/22 out back.

Depends if you want to go lower than 3" in the rear. If you do and you have a 2 piece drive shaft you'll need a center bearing relocation bracket. McGaughy's sells one, that's where I got mine.

I raised mine with a 2" AS and a Skyjacker 1.5" AAL before eventually going low. Finally found a stance I like. I hope when I'm finally done it looks comparable to your ride, sweet.

Og's right, you've got one clean ride. He's right about Patman's ride too.

I'd go with the Eibach pro damper kit. Works well with my truck. I'm dropped 2/4 with GF 2" drop coils and 3" eibach leafs with GF shackles.

i love the look of the 2/4 but can only afford the 2/3. im not too worried about ride stiffness with the stock shocks. i just want this big beast to stay flat and corner better. This is my first truck and i am use to the sports car feel. will the stock shocks corner well with the eibach 2/3? and btw, i found this kit for $320 on drivewire.com

I have the 2/3 Eibach and I love it...Well actually, I have the 2/3 eibach, and a 2" belltech shackle on there. So total I have 2/5.

I'm thinking about a lift now, so if your interested maybe we can work out a deal, email me @ DeluxF150@virtualford.org

That's a route lots of the members here have gone, eibach 2/3 and 2" shackles. I have 2" GF coils, 3" Eibach leafs, and 2" GF shackles on the 1" setting, making it a 2/4 drop.
