Got My Drop Finished!
Yeah, I'm reading it now and it says the assist kit is meant for their drop kits without the flip kit. I already have some billet aluminum cylinders from some industrial machinery at work (they throw out junk all the time, it's not stolen, it's usually up for grabs among the employees) that I am going to make into nice solid spacers for it. I have a temporary solution in there now and it's working great
Looks good even tho it sounded like a nightmare but hey whatever works right? please fix your temp. solution with the 2x4's that kinda scares me and your truck is too nice to see on the local news(truck falls apart while on the expressway doin 80mph) also in your vid i think you need some quick dumps cause that was sloooooow as hell but major props to you.

The blocks are bolted in there extremely tight. And even if they did fall out, all that would happen is I would feel the suspension drop and bottom out quick then see the blocks in my rear view mirror. Nothing more would happen than that, but I would have a slow time getting back home since it bottoms out at every little dip or bump in the road without the airbags. Essentially the air assist isn't neccesary to drive the truck, they could fall out doing 80 and nothing more than that would happen. Even though it's not likely at all, they are in there awfully tight lol.

There were no shims in the kit for it, I don't really think they are neccesary now anyways. I still need to get an alignment done but I have to wait until after the front springs have been broken in and are at their final ride height. Every day they get a little bit lower, and at the same time I go around to the front and they camber in more every day. After about 100 miles (the suggested break in period) it should be sitting a little lower and I'll adjust the back end as needed also to level it out, then I need to get the alignment done ASAP.
Best of luck getting those leaf packs. And one other thing, I saw another thread about how you wanted to go lower but still wanted to be able to tow, I'm positive an Air Assist kit is exactly what you're looking for. I'll be able to test it out soon

Hey no problem, glad I can help. It's also nice that you can adjust ride height by 2 inches, so you can have a bit of a rake if you want, make it sit level etc. So far it's working great. The next step for me is to get three air pressure guages, one for the tank I got, and the other two for the airbags, then have onboard switches where I can raise or lower the air pressure in the air bags. That's the next project
I have eibach's 2/3 kit which comes with 3" drop leafs. I also have 2" ground force shackles on the first hole (1.5"). On the 07 there was a 1" block i had to block that i removed also, so my rear is down 5.5" right now. The eibach leafs seem to be pretty stiff still when towing. I pulled a 12" enclosed trailer with paint and equipment today, and it only lowered about an 1/4". So it was safe to say that my towing ability wasnt affected too much with the Eibach kit. Check their kits out, I ended up picking mine up on ebay for $150 brand new in the unopened boxes. Good luck whichever kit you choose, either way it will look good.

Not sure what you have for compressors, but I have 2 ART 327's taking up space in the garage that would like a new home.
I changed to dual Viair 480's when I added the additional tank
