New shackles installed to drop another 1" *pix*

I have a Eibach 2/4 drop with coils, 3" drop leaf springs and a 1" drop shackle for a total of 4" in the back. I wanted my truck to sit level so I picked up a set of Ground Force 2" shackles. I put them on today and I cant tell a difference. I guess I wasted $100 and an hour of my time installing them.

Before

After

Do you see a difference? I dont and I forgot to measure before.

Thanks. My tires are 275/45/20 I wish I would have got a 285 or 295 but I was afraid it would be too wide for the wheel. After they were mounted I saw that I could have easily gone wider. Here is a closer pic the day I got the wheels/tires. Wider tire would look better and give me a little more protection against curb rash.

try this:

lift truck by frame, loosen the shackle bolts just enough that there is a little play, then slowly lower the truck to the ground and tighten them up to full torque specs. Doing this will maximize your drop by pushing the bolts "off center" in the holes in the shackles

What hole did you use? There are two sets, one for the one inch and one for the two inch drop. I'd try Pat's method, and maybe experiment with the other set of holes.

Thanks. I'm going to try that this evening and see if I can get another 3/4- 1" out of it.

hey sleestak, how rough does your truck ride now? I am about to put on the same setup, 2/3 eibach kit and i already have the GF 2" shackles. Only difference is i have stock 20's with 275/55 pirellis.

I picked up the Eibach 35112.540 kit off ebay for $150 local pickup brand new.

You will need new rear shocks. My truck rides pretty good. Your will ride better with the 275/55 tires. Post some pics when you get it put on.

You must be planning on using a tall tire for a 4/6 and 20"s to sit almost in the fenders
