Ya just to lower it. The lower grill on my truck woudnt fit with the plate holder in the stock location. I would prefure no plate at all, but Ohio has the law & I've been pulled over & ticked before. My truck seems to be a magnet for the state boys.

x2 and it seems you're doin a lot of black on your truck so imo the grille sticks out like a sore thumb. black billet grille ftw!!!

and idk if you thought about this, but i think it'd look pretty cool if you painted the gray part on ur stock rims black to tie into the truck. just a thought. nice truck tho

no prob, thats what we're here for on this forum

and shackles will run u under $50 in the back & take u down up to 2" and occassionally you can find a 3" shackle. or you could buy shackles and hangers for up to a 4" drop for bout double the price

Yeah piecing your drop kit together is the way to go.
2" drop shackles = $50
2" drop hangars = $100
2" front drop coils = $80-100
4 drop shocks = $120 or so
and don't forget shims to correct the pinion angle = $30 max
total = $400 or less. Kits are usually around $500, but can be found for less. I found a great deal on a Belltech 3/4 kit for my '02 for $333 on performancecenter.com, but that was 4 years ago.

I know here in Texas you're suppose to have a plate on the front, but I've never seen it enforced. I took mine off about a week after I got the truck and never been questioned about it when I was pulled over.

And its really just pick and choose here in texas. There are counties where it is very heavily enforced (especially by DPS on main highways) and there are areas where you could drive by with the entire front end of your truck missing and they wouldnt look twice. Just depends the area, time, and your luck weather youll get stopped or not.

I had mine torn off, had to get a new plate holder ordered when i first got my truck and i was pulled over twice within a week of not having it on.
Since adding the body kit more than 8 months ago, i pulled it off completely and "knocks on wood" havent had a problem locally with not having one yet.

Official Texas DMV laws state that you must have a front plate, although i heard from a source a while back that Texas was suppose to not require a front plate after sept. Anyone else hear anything like that?

It was in texas legislative to go to only rear plates, but never passed

that being said i had 5 or 6 cops at the scene of my wreck yesterday and didnt get any grief about it.

Been pulled over a dozen times in the 3 years that my front plate has been off. And only twice has the cop mentioned it and each time I received a verbal warning.
