Sub & Amp Installed

Hi!

Just got a sub and amp installed.
It was a package from PowerAccoustik.
It's not super high tek like some of you have on here, but man, what a difference it makes.

The amp is mounted under the 40% rear split seat, and the box is placed on the middle hump.
It works out pretty well because I can just unplug the box from the amp if I ever need the space.
Not only that, but the box helps the hounds get from the back seat, to the front much easier.

Here's a few pics

Not sure of the model number.
I think it's an 8 inch sub, and the package came from PowerAccoustik.

The amp was mounted on the back of the box, but I screwed it to the seat bottom to make more room.
(The passenger seat couldnt go back very far when the amp was screwed to the back of the box.)
Now it can go back "almost" all the way.
Not bad for $400 canadian, including install and taxes.
This thing pumps out loads of bass, nice and tight sounding.
I can't get over the improvement in sound, it like a new stereo.

I'll try to dind out the exact model number and get back to you.

Regards
Habibi

one thing to consider is on most amps i've seen, they say in the directions to NOT mount them upside down. The install looks good, but check this out. HEat rises, and on most amps mounting them like that will cook them.

I agree nice stuff, but I would definately change the way the amps are mounted. The sides and top are used as a heat sink, to dissipate the heat the amp makes. Some amps do run very cool, not many though. Most run HOT. Heat kills em.
Good Luck

Pretty cool

I got to agree, amp upside down=too hot

looks like the you have the amp bridged also, correct? That will heat things up a bit more mounted like that. Prolly won't have any problems until you crank some bass for a while, it'll prolly cut out.
